Cheapest way to buy the X-Files seasons?

I'm interested in buying all 9 seasons of the X-Files. The cheapest I've been able to find is $73.19 per set at Deep Discount DVD.

$73.19
*
9
------------
$658.71

I remember last year they had a 20% off christmas sale with coupon code: DVDTALK.

$658.71
-
$131.742 (20%)
------------
$526.968

That would be nice, assuming they actually do that again this year.

Anyone know of a cheaper way to get all 9 sets?

They are ~$71 (CAD$86.66) each at DVDSoon

Too bad, I think they were like CAD$76.66 each earlier this week there--the prices seem to be slowly climing throughout the week.

Rumor has it that the first season of the X-Files will be $14.99 WHEN AMAZON DROPS its MEGASALE!!!!! If this happens, you better get it fast, because it probably will only last for a few days at that price, before going back to the regular.

Any guesses as to when this is going to happen?

I got all nine seasons of the X-Files off Half.com.

I paid between $50 and $60.00 for each season using the pre-order option. Most were brand new; the others were "like new".

Phlow: Nobody knows when these sales are going to happen, thankfully we have a good group of people here that are on top of all the best deals and alert people as to when they are going to happen.

Jackskeleton, a member of this board, and my archnemesis here(not really) works for Fox. So if anybody has an "in" as to when this might happen it probably would be him.

I'd just buy one at a time, from various places like half, eBay, or even local used DVD shops (that's what I did, and never paid more than $50 for a set). After all, I doubt you'll be able to watch 'em all at once anyway.

They're all 59.99 at secondspin.com which is the cheapest. they're used but anyone who spent $100 plus on one of those sets took care of them. I got a couple from there. A couple from Amazon after the Price dropped, two from a yahoo shopping stroe that had them new for 69.99, 1 from my wife last year for christmas and one from a friend which started my collection like 5 years ago. So I bought mine over a period of years but if you want them all at once go second spin. They've never let me down.

ebay no doubt is best place just watch out for asian knock offs, unless you don't care, to make sure just ask the seller ahead of time to specify if auction does not, after searching for a while you will eventually win them for less than 50.

I do not know if anyone is interested but I have the first 5 seasons of X-Files, official US versions a total of 34 discs all mint and never watched by me, that I would sell for $180 including shipping via media mail with delivery confirmation. If interested email me at [email protected].
