Anyone watch The Venture Brothers?

I love this show. I've seen all but the first two episodes, and it is easily my favorite animated show right now. Well...ATHF and Sealab are tied for first with Venture Bros anyway. I love the random references they throw in, and the costumes they have for Dean and Hank. Anyway, if you haven't seen it, and you like adult swim shows like ATHF and Sealab 2021, give The Venture Bros. a shot - it cracks me up every week.

Love the show, though it does get pretty graphic at times... definitely not for the kiddies. Love the references, even the Johnny Quest opening. The first few shows I watched, I missed the last bit after the credits roll...

"Now he's gonna go sickhouse on our asses!"

I absolutely love this show. Love the little touches, but I especially love Brock Samson. It definitely is more than a bit graphic, but that character is just funny as hell. I was worried when I saw they were adding a new show to the lineup, but after watching it, I'm glad they did. It's up there with the best of Adult Swim.

I missed a couple of those as well. Looks like the dvd is coming out in the fall of 2005, so we can relive the fun over and over, and catch what we've missed so far.

The ep from a couple of weeks ago was classic. "Stop hitting yourself! stop hitting yourself! stop hitting yourself! stop hitting yourself!" (said by Hank) as Brock beats on a living statue with the statue's broken off arm.

The Monarch is one of my favorite villians, animated or non-animated.

The end of the season finale was quite odd though.

Was saturday's ep the season finale? If so, bummer! It's one of my most-anticipated shows each week.

I recall not being very impressed with the original pilot a while back, but the episodes I've caught this season are very funny.
And I love that helper doesn't save the day every episode: "You can fly the Xjet but you can't drive a stick?!"

Oh, I loved the pilot too.

The first episode of the series (after the pilot) was kind of weak, but now it's hitting on all cylinders.

This show is awesome, but nothing beats ATHF! It has my all time favorite line from TV, animated or not...

I would say that I enjoy this the most of any Adult Swim cartoon. A cross between Johnny Quest and The Tick.

Absolutely love it all.

From what I was reading from TVTome, it looks like there will be a Xmas special in the next few weeks, but no word on a second season as yet.

I'm hooked on the show. Been recording the repeats for the past few weeks and really dig it, the drawing style, the cool music, the goofy bunch of characters. Lots of fun. I hope it gets another season.

Very good show, and its full storyline per episode is a welcome change from the stream of conciousness of Sealab and ATHF

Cartoon Network has renewed Venture Brothers for a Second season along with ATHF.

At its upfront presentation to advertisers, Adult Swim also announced the renewal of "The Venture Brothers" for at least 13 new episodes, premiering in early 2006.

I was speaking with the VP of Marketing at the Cartoon Network a couple months ago and he mentioned that it had been renewed. He also mention that FOX was going to be running some cross-promotional ads for the show but that every ad they created was shot down by the Standards and Practices Board, in every case because of something Brock said. I can only imagine what. So they were scrambling to rewrite the commercials and animate them on time.

Fantastic. I need more and more and more episodes. Dr. Byron Orpheus is fantastic. So far, I would say that the episode I have rewatched the most is Tag Sale - You're It!

This is awesome! Now if only they'd give me more Harvey Birdman and Sealab, I'd be in heaven.
