Saw this last time I used one of these. They don't want you to walk in with a handful of coupons and take 20% off several purchases. Not certain why unless they figure you'll buy other stuff and not get a discount.

Yeah, what's so hard to understand?

You can't use the coupon more than once in a single purchase and you can't keep getting back in line to make a bunch of individual purchases in a single day.

And how will they know if you have purchase something with coupon on the same day?

Understood it fine, thank you.

Getting a bit restrictive but they usually bend the rules a little if you're a regular.

And..........thanks for the coupon coreynyc

I've got three Borders all within 15-20 mins of my house, so I just print a bunch of coupons at a time, and make a circuit to all three. If you go in the morning, they usually have different cashiers by evening, so you can use them multiple times in a day.

You can sweeten the next Borders/Waldenbooks deal significantly if you have a DiscoverCard and have some rewards forthcoming. The certificate(s) will probably arrive too late for this current coupon; but 20% coupons are somewhat regular with Borders/Waldenbooks and with the holiday season coming up, there's even a chance you might see one out there for 25% or 30%. You're certain to see some killer sales, that's for sure! Check out that STAPLES reward, too.

I miss the days when Borders was double cashback w/Discover.

I converted $300 into $600 at Borders.

Wow!! Not bad! I'd love it if Barnes & Noble would do this next year when (as is being rumored) their 7% Cashback deal with Discover expires.

I only have a modest $65 or so in rewards currently, most of which was earned during the summer 4% Cashback promo on groceries. But if the 7% deal expires with B&N January 1 I'm going to sit tight and wait, because I think there's a real possibility B&N would be up for this.
