Last Hurrah for Chivalry: which DVD?

Does anyone know which DVD has better picture quality? Megastar or Deltamac? And is the 5.1 track on the older Megastar release better than the mono Deltamac track?

Given the Deltamac DVD is the only one available now, I'd say get that one. If you can actually find the MegaStar DVD, get that one. Either way it really doen't matter. HK DVDs for older movies, except for IVL, suck any way you look at it. I've got the Deltamac DVD and I'm not complaining.

I went with the Deltamac. I also picked up Woo's Hand of Death from Deltamac, because the Mega Star appears to be in Mandarin only.

After a little researching, the Deltamac DVD of Last Hurrah for Chivalry is 2.35:1, and Mega Star is 1.85:1. If this is right, then I'm glad I went with the Deltamac version. I guess you're right though, it probably doesn't make a huge difference with many HK DVDs anyway.

The MegaStar DVD is in Mandarin because the movie is actually in Mandarin.

The Deltamac DVD actually has an English dub as well. It's bad, but you'll probably watch the thing with subs anyway.

I see. I was going by IMDB, which listed to language as Cantonese.

The Mega Star contains Cantonese, Mandarin and English audio tracks.
