you can get the membership right in the store but it costs 10 bucks and only lasts for a year,Dont really know that its worth it unless you already have the card, unless best buy starts doing this stuff all the time,i really have'nt seen them offer a deal like this on dvd's in there B&M Ad before that applies only to card holders, this could be the begining of something new,and if thats the case the card would be worth having even though they recently upped the points you need for the 5 dollar certificates

That price can't be right can it? The set lists for $64.99! I thought I had a bargain at $29.99 but at that price, I'd cancel. Wow!

edit: Ooops, there's a bargain, cut rate edition released on the same day, like last year. Can someone confirm what the picture is on the cover?
this one (good):
or this one (bad)

Thanks, OP. I've been putting off purchasing the 8 oz. box of Crunch & Munch for some time now, waiting for a good deal to arrive. Free copy of Shrek 2 at K-Mart? Looks like K-Mart here I come!

this isnt' the first time they've done this. I know that they've done it with CDs. I'm pretty sure that they've done it with DVDs too. I think they had some regularly $19.99 priced DVDs for $13.99 or $14.99 with Reward Zone Card (I remember that LOTR: ROTK was one of the titles cuz it was a lil after a month that it came out).

Dazed & Confused now has an anamorphic transfer and 5.1 sound, with 9 deleted scenes and some short featurettes (not necessarily about the movie). It doesn't have the commentary or reunion documentary originally announced. Hopefully, Criterion will get their hands on it. Till then, this will have to do.

Fast Times At Ridgemont High, I believe, is almost exactly the same, with forced trailers this time, no doubt. I could be wrong though.

Okay, now this is bullshit. Now they're starting to tie their sales into membership in their "Reward Zone" program?

Wonder if this is going to be a trend, and before long all of their sale prices will require a Reward Zone membership? I know that grocery stores do this, where you have to have one of those little cards to get sale prices, but that membership is free.

I wonder if the Reward Zone member 12.99 sale can be combined with the Madden 05 coupon?...that would be just 10.39 each.

I was considering renewing my membership since I noticed I still buy quite a bit from there. Might as well get a little back. Also, I've seen signs around the store that say you get double points for things like movie and video game purchases. Didn't seem to be a special, either, just the way it is.

YMMV, but use those coupons if you have 'em

With Best Buy having Talented Mr Ripley and the Saint at 2 for $15,

it's a good time to use the $ 5 off coupon that works for either that came on the Sky Captain preview disc, if you have it.

As well, with Shrek listed as $7.50 in Target, time to use that $3 newspaper coupon that was mentioned in a previous thread.

Mileage may vary and there might be some static since these are sale price discs, but coupons are generally a form of tender after totaling the sale, so it should work and is worth a try on Sunday.

the Shrek grocery coupon should work since that's a manufacturer's coupon (problem is that the advertisedversion is the single-disc full frame only version).

I don't think that the $5 coupon will work for The Talented Mr. Ripley/The Saint since the 2 for $15 would ring up as a "package price." The $5 coupon would also ring up as a "package price" and I believe that the system only allows one "package price" to be applied. However, I could be wrong.

Personally, I don't have a problem with this at all.

It's sort of like getting a "membership discount" on an item.

The membership is only $10 so it's not like it's really all that expensive. Plus, you can get points for free certificates.

I haven't bought a single big-ticket item at the store (only DVDs, CDs, video games, etc) and I've already gotten $45 in certificates. I paid $9.99 + Tax for the membership so it's already paid for itself and then some.

I had a feeling that A Home at the End of the World would not be in the ads. The cheapest online is $22. Does Wal-mart put the less hot titled new releases on sale or will it be full price? I was hoping for a $14.97 price from them.
