Unfortunately, i caught the ending of this movie. It was weird but can someone give me a brief summary or a detailed description of the rest of the movie

Basically an old rich man dies. When his widow is going through his things she finds a snuff film. It is Nick Cage's job to find out if the snuff film is real, and where it came from. He ends up being tangled in with the underground porn/snuff film world. Very disturbing movie.

fixed.

Not to mention the killer ends up being someone who doesn't appear until the big reveal from what I remember. So it is kinda like, "who is this guy?" Only time I saw it was in theater and that was some time ago.

The killer is listening to Danzig, I believe, at one point and there are Samhain posters in the background. So it's worth it just for that, imo.

I remember I cringed at that part. I wasn't sure if I liked that he was a fan or if I pissed.

The movie was disturbing. Good movie, but I didn't like it.

If I recall correctly, I think that was kind of the point of the ending.
Spoiler:
It was supposed to be somewhat anti-climactic to drive home the downward spiral Nick Cage went through only to find out it was just some random guy.
That was my take on it, anyway.

Good but disturbing movie. Also has a great line: "I'd hate for you to be in one of those everyday situations that calls for a battery-operated vagina and not have one. "

It's been a while since I saw this in the theater, but is there a scene near the end with Cage and the villain fighting in the rain, and Cage's line is, "Why did you kill her? So you could jack off?" I always associated this line with the movie, but I'm not sure the line is actually in the move.

Anti-climactic is a great way to put it. There is no emotional payoff.

Re: 8MM Starring Nick Cage- Need help with this movie

What initially leads the Nick Cage character to Cleveland? He had so little to go off of, so what leads him to Cleveland Missing persons bureau to begin his search?

In any circumstance, any time anyone has to find the most vile, perverted, sick individual, they head to Cleveland. That's common knowledge.

He was checking out some AOL newsgroups and saw a random update to an 11-year-old posting, and that ended up being the "Aha!" moment.

Well, it is the birthplace of the Cleveland Steamer.
