Lost 10/27/04

Episode Title: "House of the Rising Sun"

Spoiler:
Walt and the others are shocked when Michael is brutally beaten, but only the non-English-speaking Jin and Sun know the truth behind the attack. Meanwhile Kate, Jack, Sawyer and Sayid argue about where the survivors should camp — on the beach, where they're more likely to be seen, or in a remote inland valley where fresh water abounds; and Locke discovers Charlie's secret.

Before you complain about the subject of this weeks picture, I took it from ABCs main page as I did two weeks ago.

Looks better than last week, my only problem is the commercial makes it look like they want to cram too much in the episode.

My wife came up with an interesting theory...perhaps the island grants the wishes of anybody who is on it? Think about it.

Or perhaps they all died on the crash, and they are in purgatory (the "dead" passengers have passed on to heaven or hell).

What is the monster? My guess is a t-rex. Or maybe Zombie Dad when he gets angry?

I read on TV tome that this episodes running time is 61 minutes which would make it 1 1/2 hours tv time, hope this is true.

I think what that really means is: ABC has switched the running time from the normal 60 minutes to 61 minutes. The last few weeks have ended after the hour and they're just reflecting that (starting last week, I believe). So, that 90 minute thing doesn't sound quite right.

I'm going to predict the whole thing is a dream. no one is dead. there is no t-rex. there is no island. the day the show ends will be the day whoever is dreaming will wake up.

Can you imagine how bad that would suck if it was all a dream? I mean, imagine the outcry. Especially after, say, five seasons or so.

Not intentionally, but I did think about that after I posted. How long did St. Elsewhere last, anyway?

Also, say it with me: "It's a Sasquatch on the island. A Sasquatch!"

My theory is that while they were flying over the wish island, Jack wished his dad could turn into a T-Rex. It happened, and this caused the plane to break up and crash. Then the T-Rex ate of all of them, and now they're in Purgatory, and now Satan is granting their wishes in order to get their souls like in the story of Faust. Think about it, it all fits!

Yeah I think you are right. Their schedule doesn't reflect the 90 minute thing, I'm an idiot

Didn't that old show "Dallas" end as a big dream?? I think people basically get super pissed when they don't have the imagination to actually draw a show to a nice neat tied up ending......."well I can't think of anything else, why not just make it all someones 5 year long dream? the fans will love it!" That's just plain stupid.

It would be pretty funny to end a popular show as a dream just to piss people off.

I love stuff like that.

Dude yeah, your right! Roseanne was dreaming; everything after Dan's heart attack was just a dream. Amazing that I even know that but someone was just telling me about it like a week ago.
