movie research help
im a student in college, and am enrolled in a public speaking course. the next speech we are covering is considered "informative", so for that reason i've chosen to talk about american film and it's impact on culture. the reason i am writing here is because many of you seem to have an endless knowledge of movies, they're meanings, etc.
are there any reputable websites that i can find information regarding movies and their impact on society and culture. most websites simply have a script analysis, or general information regarding a particular film. any help would be greatly appreciated.

criterion's website has some of the best essays.....specifically the one on Last Temptation of Christ and how it was received and the trouble it had to deal with.
The site is:

Plus, there's a ton of other really well done essays there. Enjoy!

That's interesting because in my Comms 100 course, which is basically a speech class, we were giving informative speeches and I gave mine on why widescreen is superior to foolscreen. I can't believe how many people have no clue what widescreen actually is.
