VOTE! HH POLL 2: Haunted Houses — Help Me Build (Titles not qualified for HH POLL 1)
IMPORTANT! There are numerous "haunted house" movies, and as a result I'm going to divide this topic into at least two polls. Be sure to read HH POLL 1 first to see if your favorite Haunted House movie qualifies to be listed there. I'll post the actual HH POLL 2 once we've got some popular contenders.
• DVDs can be in any casing, including Snappers
• Adult Horror only — also no comedic haunted houses (such as the Eddie Murphy "The Haunted Mansion" or "Ghostbusters")
• A haunted ____________ (eg. modern house/building, ship)
• Haunted by ____________ (eg. animal, human, all-or-part supernatural)
If your favorite (Adult Horror, no comedy) Haunted House movie wasn't discussed in HH POLL 1, please help me to assemble what will be HH POLL 2 with all other titles. To get you started off, I've selected some popular HAUNTED HOUSE movies available only in snap casing:
GHOST SHIP (WARNER Snapper) (2002)
THE OLD DARK HOUSE (IMAGE ENT. Snapper, B/W, Charles Laughton, Boris Karloff & Melvyn Douglas) (1932)
TERROR IN THE HAUNTED HOUSE (RHINO Snapper) (1958)
THE HAUNTING (WARNER Snapper, Julie Harris) (1963)
THE HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL (WARNER Snapper) (1999)
THIRTEEN GHOSTS (WARNER Snapper, F. Murray Abraham) (2001)
. . . and some others
HOUSE (1986 Anchor Bay, George Wendt)
HOUSE OF THE DEAD (2003 Artisan)
THE OTHERS (2001, Nicole Kidman, Buena Vista)
HELLGATE: THE HOUSE THAT SCREAMED 2 (2003, Sub Rosa Studios)
HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY (1981, ANCHOR BAY, from Lucio Fulci, "The Godfather of Gore")

Hey! How is everyone doing over here?
When I got home I took some ibuprofen to stave off a headache and thought I'd check back in here to see if any posts would clarify what the fuck these two polls are about. No such luck, I see.
Hey, I saw a porno movie once called "Girls Who Love to Eat Red Snapper." It wasn't packaged in a snapper, but obviously it had a snapper theme. Would that go in this poll or the other one?

Well I've seen everything. It's now become Politically Incorrect to even mention a snap case in a DVD talk forum.
I guess this is why we have "Ignore" lists, eh Mr. Salty? You may be bitter, but I assure you I'm not!
And I'm looking forward to adding a few Haunted House titles to my collection; but, alas, will not permit the equivalent of a cereal box in packaging — thus, this thread, even if locked, is a useful reference for me to recall those naughty little studios who keep using those naughty snap cases. And rent, but never buy, those titles.
Now Mr. Salty, locate the pornography forum and go there. There's a good boy.

Since this is in the movie forum, not the DVD forum, I'll answer with my 3 favorite haunting/ghost movies, whether or not they are on DVD.
1. The Haunting (1963): Sorry, only in a snapper, so you have to miss out.
2. The Innocents: Not yet released on DVD in this country.
3. The Other (no s): Not yet released on DVD in this country.
Basically for ghost movies, I prefer them with lots of atmosphere, I don't need the blood and gore to be creeped out.

They will, they will. I've noticed Warner silently lowering their prices on these loathesome snappers over the past year, and what can I say but . . . hope springs eternal!
