TWEC stores (Fye, Coconuts, etc) has it for either $29.99 or $32.99 + Tax - $7 MIR. Plus, since this is more than $25, you would get a $10 voucher for use between 11/1/04-11/20/04.

ok, ty for info, but check this out:

http://shop.coconuts.com/product.asp...timate+edition

this 3 dvd set has wrong picture for ultimate edition but the upc code in description part states that this is truely van helsing ultimate edition. upc code for coccnuts' ultimate ed. is: 025192613920. the same code at dvdsoon.

so evidently coconuts.com has the ultimate ed. listed wrong as the collectors ed. and the wrong picture. you all see if i'm right. price at coconuts.com is 26.98 for ultimate ed. good price. list is 54.98.

ok i'm giving coconuts the chance to come good with this deal. 26.98 minus FIRSTPURCHASE coupon plus budget shipping and taxes is 25.51 shipped. minus 7.00 rebate if used and this deal is a lock greatest price for ultimate edition. 18.51. can't beat that.

I ordered this for 26.54 (minus 7.00 MIR), but I am worried if it is really the ultimate edition. Even though it specifies the features are included, it never claims that it is THE ULTIMATE EDITION. I will call them when they open to confirm this, because if it isn't the ultimate edition, then I don't want to pay regular price for a standard dvd.

I would personally not recommend this edition. The only major extras are the 3 original monster movies and deleted scenes. I thought the Ultimate Collection looked cool until I found out about the extra movies. The best way to get those originals, is through the Legacy Collections. At least that way you get all the Dracula, Wolfman, or Frankenstein movies.
Besides Van Helsing will probably get a facelift down the road anyway.

Of course, this is just my opinion.

15fsoct didn't seem to work for me so I used firstpurchase. Not too bad of a deal if it is the UE.

have at this deal. 18.50 - 19.00 shipped for van helsing ultimate collector's edition is greatest price. i wouldn't pay over 20.00 for this cuz it's just a movie but with the 3 old classics and halloween around corner this is a great deal. i hear this movie has bad reviews but i will keep it for complete horror set.

If you're a big fan of the classics, don't buy the Ultimate Van Helsing, buy these Legacy Collections.......

The Mummy - The Legacy Collection (The Mummy/Mummy's Hand/Mummy's Tomb/Mummy's Ghost/Mummy's Curse)
Invisible Man - The Legacy Collection (The Invisible Man/Invisible Man Returns/Invisible Agent/Invisible Woman/Invisible Man's Revenge)
Creature from the Black Lagoon - The Legacy Collection (Creature from the Black Lagoon / Revenge of the Creature / The Creature Walks Among Us)
The Wolf Man - The Legacy Collection (The Wolf Man / Werewolf of London / Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man / She-Wolf of London)
Dracula - The Legacy Collection (Dracula / Dracula (1931 Spanish Version) / Dracula's Daughter / Son of Dracula / House of Dracula)
Frankenstein - The Legacy Collection (Frankenstein / Bride of / Son of / Ghost of / House of)

They've been showing up for $15.99 in various places. These Legacy Collections are great and you get many more movies than just the original.

Just an idea.

japplen,
I'm interested in some of those titles. Where have you seen them for $15.99?

This week Best Buy has Mummy at $15.99.
A manager at Best Buy said the titles would kind of rotate, so the others would be cheaper later
Another post states that Creature and Mummy are $15.87 at Walmart.
I plan to check that out for Creature.

Also if DDD offers their 20% holiday deal they would be very competitive at 20% off of $21.59 w/free shipping.

It's going to be a hunt and peck to get them all, but they will only get cheaper.

I bought the original Universal Classics 8 pk, but now I wish I would have waited since these collections are available.
I've sort have learned my lesson not to leap on something new to the market on the release date. Unless the DVD is done right, from the beginning, you can almost count on a re-release.
Just like you can bet that Star Wars 1,2,3 will be redone to look like the 4,5,6 box.

So right now you can't just scope them all up at $15.99, but little by little. Hope I helped.

My bad.

Creature, Mummy, and Invisible Man Legacy Sets are $17.14 at DDD. The others are still $21.59. If you take a chance and wait, you could get them with a future 20% off as well.
