just wondering...

maybe GL could edit that in next time to make it more relaistic? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm835' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_108.gif' alt='Too Happy 2' border=0></a>

Couldn't you make this argument for about 99.9% of the movies out there? In general, movie characters don't go to the bathroom unless it's necessary for the plot.

Running out of ideas for new Star Wars threads?

As my theater instructor always told me: "drama is life with the boring parts taken out". That is why no one goes to the bathroom in movies.

edit: except Austin Powers

I wonder if darth vader has his own private bathroom or if he has to share it with all the stormtroopers? And does he have to take his gloves off when he wipes?

I once saw a cartoon (I think it was in an issue of the SW Insider magazine) of the inside of the bathroom of the cantina. It had all these differend funky-looking urinals on the wall. Anyone got that?

Yeah, he must drop some hefty logs from time to time. I hear there's a cut scene where Chewie leaves the Falcon throneroom with a newspaper under his arm and belts out a mighty roar with the subtitle at the bottom: "Best give it another ten minutes before you go in there, mate". Maybe in the NEXT dvd release of the trilogy.

Way too much info! Folks, we're really scraping the bottom of the barrel now. We really must not have much to talk about.

I still wonder about those "Three Seeshells" in 'Demolition Man', but this sort of thing should just be left well enough alone.

As explained in many of the Star Wars novels:

Jabba the Hut takes massive disgusting craps.
Bubba Fett does not poo, he is too cool - plus the jet pack is a pain to take off.
Han Solo can take a crap anywhere.
Luke Skywalker prefers to poo only at Uncle Lars and Aunt Beru's place.
The Bantha has pretty massive but frozen poos on Hoth.
Padme would not poo because Natalie Portman does not poo.
Wicket the Ewok is always taking dumps.
Chewbacca, surprisingly, has impressive bowels and rarely poos.
The Emperor, Darth Vader, Darth Dooku and Darth Maul all don't poo - because they are Sith.
Lando actually has uncontrollable diarreah - he's not as cool as you think he is.
Yoda has some nice green poos, not because he is green, but because he is a vegan.

I beg to differ. It was recently released that Han Solo can only poo if Greedo does first.

That's what I was wondering as well.. It has absolutely nothing to do with the dvd, and should probably go in Movie Talk.

Although I'm sure the world wouldn't be any worse off if the thread just disappeared altogether.

People, what do you think that little door on Darth Vader's crotch is for??

Oh, and in some movies (A Fine Mess and Jackie Brown come to mind) women walk bare-assed to the bathroom after copulation.

They mention refresher stations in the star wars books. There is no mention of what kind of reading material the characters prefer.

You know, I was thinking of this the other day, and I sort of remembered some publicity photos of Vader where he had a little door over his crotch.

It's kind of funny to think about Vader standing in front of a toilet, fishing around in his codpiece for his cock with those big black gloves.

And also, wouldn't this make a great lost scene in "Empire Strkes Back" -- Remember when that one Admiral walks in on Vader when he has his helmet off in the meditation chamber? You sort of a do theme with this... In the next scene, Vader's giving him orders about hiring bounty hunters and walks into the bathroom. He then does an LBJ: drops his trou and sits on the toilet while the Admiral is standing there listening to his orders. "And also, after you called Fett, get that big lizard-looking guy. Boxer... no Bossk, I think. And Zuckus. Goddamned piles... never fall ass first into a lava flow if you can help it, Admiral. And Forlom. Or is 4-Lom?"

And then he goes walking out with toilet paper stuck to his boot, and the Admiral doesn't want to tell him because he's been force-choking guys right and left.

Refresher
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars Wiki.

A Refresher was a room with a full recycling shower (or possibly a Sonic Shower), sink, and toilet. They came in various configurations, from small 'freshers for starships, to large ornate rooms in private residences.

Come to think of it, I've never seen you use the bathroom either, nor anybody else on this message board for that matter. Not very realistic, if you ask me.

You know, I love this forum, and I come here at least once every time I get on the internet. But one of the things I hate the most is how people here decide who deserves to post what. "It's about time someone closed this thread." "Wow, this is the lamest thread ever!" I'll admit, I thought this thread was pretty ridiculous. I just wanted to see how this thing had so many replies. And I just find it really irksome when people reply with that kind of shit. I also hate it when the first thing people do is post links to similar threads. Big deal! It's a forum. Let people talk and don't be so anal.

I suppose this could be considered thread crapping, but whatever. This thread is about feces anyways.

Why the hell is this in the dvdtalk forum? ;)It was born in the Star Wars subforum which was running when EpIII was in theaters. Once the hype died, all the threads merged into dvdtalk forum.
