Anyone here live in the Lake Tahoe area?

This past weekend I was in South shore and I noticed that behind the new Marriott property (near the Heavenly gondola) there was a new movie theater going up. It is called the Heavenly Village Cinemas and according to the sign it will open in early November with ALL THX and digital sound formats (DTS & DD).

Finally, it looks like we are going to get a descent theater to the area!

Does any one know about it? I can't tell what theater company it is.

You mean the little theaters at the Horizon aren't doing their job?

Used to live in Tahoe (North Shore), and we pretty much always had to go to Reno to see a decent movie.

Did you ever have a chance to go to that multiplex located right next to the Peppermill? That was the first recliner-seat theter I ever went to. Shame it's not there anymore.

And yes, Jello, that was a joke. Besides the little screen problem, I had issues with their heating facilities. I went to see AVP over there this summer and it must've been 48 degrees in there. Maybe that was intentional to match the Arcitic feeling!
