The spot to enter the coupon on the DDD site seems to have disappeared. Am I the only one who can't find it now?

I see it in the same place it's always been on the first cart page right underneath the shipping info/images. Seems like I've heard of the disappearing box before and we had to do something like clear cookies or temporary internet files, maybe log out and close/reopen the browser to make it reappear. Anybody remember the drill when the box disappears?

It's there for me. When I viewed my shopping cart the box to enter a promotion code was available near the button to begin checkout.

I should add I was initially not logged into my DDD account when the promo box was present. Was still there when I logged in.

just a heads up, doesn't seem to work for chasing amy, armageddon, traffic, the rock, rushmore criterions...seems big "blockbuster" films (i use this term loosley) don't qualify (for the time being) .. fear & loathing in las vegas gets a discount

I think I will pass on the sale since most of the DVDs can be found cheaper elsewhere even with the discount. If they have a 20% sale later it would be a much better deal.

I will chance the possibility of saving $6/selection later (20% off) over the bird in the hand $1.50 now.

Same here. There are plenty of Criterion and HVE titles I want, but I'll sit tight to see if we get a 20% sale this winter -- of course given the fact that I have a backlog of 500 titles I haven't watched yet, this decision isn't too hard.

Agree! Now, if we could get a 5-10% off Criterions coupon from DVDPlanet...

For anyone still looking to buy it, this appears to give you the best price on "Tanner '88" -- $20.48. That's slightly better than Digital Eyes and better than DVD Planet, when you include their shipping cost. (Would be even worse for me from DVD Planet, given that I live in Calif. and have to pay them sales tax.)

Shipping is slow at DDD, but for the most part that is due to the fact they use media mail on free shipping orders. However if you live near Illinois you should receive shipments quicker compared to the rest of the US. I typically receive my orders within 7-8 days after shipping.

Minneapolis area: Around 5 days without UPS shipping from day of placing the order. The only orders I UPS are large ones since it's a flat rate for one selection or a dozen, plus you can get a tracking number.

Don't forget to factor in backorders, DDD is great if you are looking for the best deal, but shipping is their weakness

The common element between the films in that first group is that they are produced by Criterion but owned and distributed by Disney/Buena Vista. Fear & Loathing, a Universal title, is distributed by Criterion. This deal would appear to apply only to those discs that Criterion/Home Vision actually distribute.

Although I'm in eastern Iowa and could drive to DDD's shipping center in a few hours, it always takes exactly one week from the shipment date for me to receive the package.
