Strangers With Candy question

I just finished watching the final season of Strangers With Candy on DVD. In all three seasons, there's only one reference to the "Dirty Jew Diary." In one of the commentaries for the previous two seasons, Stephen Colbert refers to a "Dirty Jew Diary episode," and my friend swears she remembers an entire episode devoted to it. Does such an episode exist? Is she just crazy? Did Comedy Central omit it?

Also, it pisses me off that there are no commentaries for season 3. Were any actually recorded and then not included? Just curious.

Isn't it something Jerri writes to her diary in season 1:

Dear Diary, I'm sorry for all those hateful racist things I said about you. Everything's changed; I'm in love.... something you would never understand you dirty, dirty, dirty Jew diary!
I never heard it other than that (haven't listened to the commentaries yet). I think in an interview somewhere, Sedaris said Comedy Central made them change it from "filthy" to "dirty".

Season 3 may not have commentaries as all three writers are busy working on the movie in addition to other projects (e.g. Wigfield).

Actually, it's from season 3. But yes, that's the quote.

I do remember them mentioning having to change it from "filthy" to "dirty."

I can see the movie making them too busy, but Wigfield came out before season 2 came out on DVD, and that had commentary. So I'm just going to guess it's the movie.

Thanks, though!

Don't forget that Colbert works full time for The Daily Show and after Wigfield came out the three of them toured the country doing staged readings of the book.
