Not yet, it's supposed to launch by Halloween. Hopefully a little sooner.

I hope DirectTV picks this up.

Will they show horror movies unedited, or will they chop them to bits like SciFi?

I've been keeping an eye on this for a while and am very excited about it.

They have promised unedited, commercial free OAR versions of the films. They have been gathering opinions from fans of the genre for quite a while and seem intent on providing us with what we've been waiting for.

I also have DirecTV and have been crossing my fingers for quite a while that they'll be carrying this. I think the plan is satellite and digital cable.

Let your provider know that you want it....

Oh yeah. I see that on there now. Early on they had said that analog cable wouldn't be included. I didn't know that it had changed.

Thanks for pointing that out.

Doesn't look like Comcast is listed here, unless it's under a different name.

Do you mean the list for petitions? Comcast is on there.

I already get a 24 hour unedited, commercial free horror channel in HD which I love. Check it out: http://www.voom.com/vhdo/mnst/index.jsp

Yeah. That channel taunts me as I'm already set up for DirecTV HD. I can't see switching to or adding Voom to get that one channel but I'd sure love to have it.

The Horror Channel? Cool. Sign petition to get it

Go to the link below and scroll down to find YOUR cable/satellite provider and sign the petition by entering a name and email addy. If you dont see your provider, click the "make your own" petition link and e-sign it.

I never knew there was such a channel, but I for one would love to get it.

It takes all of 20 seconds to go there, find your provider, and enter info.

There will be an announcement tomorrow about which providers will carry it. It should be up on the website sometime after midnight.

I'm all a titter. Crossing my fingers for DirectTV, as I'm sure are a lot of TV Talk regulars.

I'm predicting that neither Comcast in MI or DTV will get this since I want this channel.

If you're looking for a quick launch, the news isn't good...

... but in all other respects, the news is very good, no?

I worry about a "Horror" channel. How long before they're just rerunning Full Moon crap over and over?

Just really disappointing. They talked for so long about an Oct. 2004 launch, now they can't even promise it by Thanksgiving. You build something up like this, you really oughta deliver.

That was a let down. Hopefully it will be better off in the long run.
