What Order to Watch The Star Wars DVD's?
I have just bought Episode 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 of the Star Wars trilogy. I watched 4,5,6 when I was young and don't remember the movies. I am asking this forum in what order should someone watch Star Wars movies.
Option 1: Episode 4,5,6 and then 1, 2
Option 2: Episode 1,2 and then 4,5,6
Option 3: Wait for Episode 3 to arrive on DVD and then
Episode 1,2,3,4,5,6
What do you guys suggest?
Option 1: Episode 4,5,6 and then 1, 2
Option 2: Episode 1,2 and then 4,5,6
Option 3: Wait for Episode 3 to arrive on DVD and then
Episode 1,2,3,4,5,6
What do you guys suggest?

I recommend option 2. I'm doing this myself and have just finished I, II, and IV. I found that viewing them in this order makes IV an even more powerful experience; specifically, any scene with Obi-Wan just feels like it has been intensified by an order of magnitude.
Of course, I'm possibly the only person who likes episode I more than II...

Definitely Option 1. The prequels assume you've already seen the originals. Plus, there's no way you wanna make TPM the first SW flick you watch during a 5 or 6 movie marathon. Unless of course you're trying to get the worst one out of the way first.

the only way it makes any sense to me is 5, 2, 1, 6, 4. i would suggest going that way and see for yourself, but i doubt you will find a better sequence...really gives the entire story perspective and a richness that other orders seem to squander.

The True Order:
1, 6, Ewok Adventure, 5, 2, Holiday Special, 4, 3, Ewoks: The Battle For Endor.
Accept no substitutes.
(Or you could just go with Option 1.)

I'm actually waiting for 3 before I watch 4,5,6... haven't seen them since the sp editions in the theaters. That way I don't spoil the originals for my kids. I already have purchased them...tempting but I can wait

For anybody who hasn't seen them (all three of you), I would also go along with 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3. Any other way would spoil the big revelation in ESB.

Id go with 4,5,6, then 1,2 until Revenge of the Sith comes out. Then I'd watch them 1,2,3,4,5,6. because if you watch them in chronological order now there will be a big gap in between.

As ambivilent as I am towards the prequels, what I'll probably do is watch 1 and 2 on opening day, then go to the theater to see 3 and then go home and watch 4, 5 and 6.
Next year when the DVD comes out I'm throwing a big party and watching them all back to back.
