Zelda Collection promo - Gamecube

I was looking for a new game to pick up and came across the Zelda Collection disc. Does anyone here have it and think it's worth the absurd amount of money it seems to go for on ebay?

I haven't played a Zelda game since the NES, but I certainly don't mind a bit of old-school goodness.

It would be PERFECT if it had LTTP. It was one of those moments that made you think that Nintendo was going to stop being an evil corporation, but then they snapped you back to reality.

LTTP you can get on GBA and now Zelda I & II are being made avaliable on GBA. I'd skip the Collection disk and grab Animal Crossing and a Gameshark to unlock NES The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario Bros, Punchout, Excitebike, Donkey Kong, etc. most of which of playable on TV or loadable to a GBA.

If you have never played OoT it is a must have, but I wouldn't pay too much for the collector's disc. They are becoming hard to find so people sell them for ridiculous amounts of money, but I wouldn't get it unless you find it cheap.

Remember, it also has Majora's Mask, which is slightly prettier than it's GCN version.

Also the controls were made with a N64 in mind. It's nothing major, but using the "z" on the GC controler drove me mad.

The controls work PERFECT on the Cube. If the Z button bothers you, you can just put something like the Ocarina there that you won't use in action.

Thanks for the replies everyone, even if I didn't follow everything.

I just saw a copy of it at Gamestop for $35. That's at least a little bit better than the ebay prices, but it's still a little high. I guess I'll hold off for a bit. I've got enough other games to play for a while.

If you want it, get it while you can.. it's just going to become harder to find as time passes.

I think it's random. I played through it one full time and it hit me thrice.

I sold mine on eBay along with my copy of Wind Waker.

Guess I should have held onto it a bit longer. But making back what I paid for the game seemed worth it at the time.

I'd grab it at that price if I were you.

I really don't understand why every GC owner didn't pick it up for $20 with a Nintendo Power subscription when they had the chance. Granted, the magazine is awful, but the way I saw it, I was buying the game and getting 12 months of the mag for free. I would've paid $50 for the game, so to get it for $20 was a major steal from where I sat. If you can still get it for $35, you may as well go for it.

P.S. I agree about LTTP. Major disappointment there.
