It'll be laughably bad. That's why I will watch it...at least once.

Haven't seen any previews for this at all. I love Joey Pants, and think that his previous show, 'The Handler', was killed prematurely by CBS. But from the sounds of it, this new show isn't going to be quite as good, eh?

*runs off to look at 'Dr. Vegas' website*

I may actually watch this tonight. I really have nothing better to do and plan on watching Rescue Me at 10 anyways. However, I'll tell you right now, this show will not last. If The Handler, RHD, The Fugitive, etc... can't last on Friday evenings, neither will this.

It might have a chance considering it's on against shows that are just as bad.

Those other shows failed becasue NBC had something on at that time that people watched (L&O:SVU and Third Watch) I don't think anyone is watching Medical Investigation.

The Handler was killing Boomtown, then NBC axed that and put Third Watch in the spot and that was the end for The Handler.

Don't Watch this piece of crap show, it's a complete waste of time I had to force myself to sit through the whole Pilot when I first watched it.

A funny, true, sad story.

I was in Vegas a few years back with some friends and a buddy of mine ended up getting sick as a dog. He found out his wife and kids all had strep and obviously he did as well. He needed to find a doctor so he looked in the phone book and there are all kinds of ads for traveling doctors! Apparently they just cruise around in their 'vettes and such scoring hot chicks and having wonderful adventures; or so I imagined anyway!

Anyway, this was when CSI first hit the air and I knew a show about one of these doctors would be a hit, think Dr Dan Tanna plus a hooker with a heart of gold,,,,and it would have been a hit show damn it! Now this crap ,who knows...

I find Amy Adams to be very easy on the eyes (she's dr. vegas's mouthy nurse). Felt a little bad about Sarah Lancaster's character getting sexed up to attract a whale at the blackjack tables.

Just can't imagine this show coming up with interesting storylines week-in/week-out.

The redheaded nurse was the brace-face fiance in Spielberg's CATCH ME IF YOU CAN. It took me the entire ep to figure out where I had seen her before.

Seeing Sizemore in this show made me miss Robbery Homicide Division. Now that was another good cop show that was shit on by a network (CBS).

I love Sarah Lancaster.

This show won't be on in a month.

I didn't even realize Sizemore was a regular until the opening credits. They must want to to keep his part in the show low-key for now in case he gets arrested again.

Not as a bad as I thought it was going to be. I don't know why but it's tough to buy Rob Lowe playing this type of character.

They could do an hour long show of Sarah Lancaster dealing blackjack in that cocktail waitress uniform and I'd tune in.

That was worth watching just to see Sarah Lancaster in that cocktail waitress outfit. I'd be willing to lose hand after hand to her anyday.

I couldn't place the nurse (Amy Adams) at first but then I remember that she played Kathryn in the direct-to-video Cruel Intentions 2.

Overall, it wasn't as bad as I expected it would be.

At 10 p.m., ABC's "20/20" got the night's highest rating, 7.6/14, with Barbara Walters interviewing Mary Kay Letourneau, the former teacher who had an affair and a child with a then-13-year-old student. The premiere of "dr. vegas," 6.3/11, finished second for CBS, beating NBC's "Medical Investigation," 5.5/10.
Decent debut. It didn't lose much of JAG's audience and had more total viewers then Joan of Arcadia.

I think this will be one of the first shows that was helped by another network launching a show early. People getting a taste of Medical Investigation early and seeing how bad it was could save the show for a little while.

Yeah, I don't expect Medical Investigation to be around much longer.

I didn't like the beginning of the episode, but I got into it as it went along. It definitely won't be a must see show for me, but I will try to remember to record it, and I will go through it when I get a chance.

Who in their right mind would cast Tom Sizemore in anything? Don't get me wrong, I think that he is a great actor, but he is too much of a liability to have.
