Best price on Aladdin?

I'm debating canceling my $17.27 DDD Aladdin preorder. Anyone know if they'll be any sweet deals on this one? Costco.com is listing it as $17.99 with a CD.

What about Best Buy!

Pre-Order and get a $5 GC

And you can actually use that GC for Mulan

Try $17.54. The pre-STL price is $19.49 (which isn't bad, as it's 35% off MSRP). Looks like you took an additional 10% off the STL price to arrive at your price.

Don't forget, you can also get an additional 1.57% discount at Amazon by using the A9.com websearch on their page. (See other thread).

I remember Lion King was one of the more popular loss leaders during the holiday shopping season last year. It could be had for $10 without much difficulty. I think something similar will happen with Aladdin.

I agree.

On Black Friday, Lion King was $9.99 at Toys R Us and I think $11.99 at Best Buy and Target.

Disneystore.com is advertising free lithos with pre-order, so I imagine B&M Disney stores are doing the same. I have not, however, confirmed that.

Argh, Amazon lowered Aladdin's price! I preordered it when it was $20.99 (not including STL discount). I guess I'll go ahead and cancel that order and re-order it with another STL discount. Might as well throw in the A9 discount too.

$12.99 AR at a Transworld chain (FYE, Coconuts, Strawberries, Wherehouse) plus a free Fantasia CD if you preorder. Don't know any details about the CD.

I am hoping that Toys R Us does a deal similar to the Lion King deal they did last year. Lion King was $19.95 and you could get any other Buena Vista title they carry for $5. I ended up getting Lion King and Sleeping Beauty for $25 plus tax. Not bad.

BB online seems to allow in-store pickup for a preorder. When I added Aladdin to the cart and selected instore pickup, the shipping fee disappeared.

I will probably preorder Aladdin with instore pickup at BB just before 10/2 when they update the sale price online. Then use the $5 DC towards the Seinfeld Giftset which in turn has a $25 GC for preordering.

You can just email them and they'll drop the price, you don't have to cancel and reorder. That's what I did.

Anybody getting the box set? I kind of dug on the Lion King set and I *love* the box design for Aladdin so I'm thinking I'll go that route. What's the best price you guys have seen?

Bob330i: where did you see that Transworld will have it at $12.99 AR? I called an FYE in Philly and they said they weren't aware of the price nor of the cd bonus.

I posted it in the TWEC rebate thread. I've seen advertisements for it at that price. However, I haven't seen anything about the Fantasia CDs for pre-ordering.

Called a local Coconuts and they confirmed the $7 rebate with pre-order, but no cd. Called a local FYE and they confirmed the Fantasia cd (the girl who won American Idol...not the soundtrack) and the rebate...although they won't know until Monday how much the rebate will be.

This was at my Wherehouse in Redwood City, CA. They had a hanging banner similar to the Star Wars preorder banners. In that Wherehouse (my only Transworld store around), they have all of those banners stuck with suction cups on one of the windows. As I recall, they had Mean Girls (old), Farenheit 9/11, Aladdin, Star Wars and two others I don't recall when I went in on Tues.

Funny that it appears to be the American Idol person vs. Disney's Fantasia (if true). The banner didn't really indicate which one but I assumed it was the movie. Plus it said it was a CD sampler. If it's the American Idol person, maybe not much of an incentive other than the $12.99 price.

I was all set to e-mail them, but I looked at my order and saw that Amazon lowered it by themselves. Way to go Amazon!

I was thinking of pre-ordering for $5 at Toys R Us, then taking in whatever ad that week that had the best price(14.99 or 15.99) for a price match. Does anybody know if they allow that?

I'm not positive, but I think, starting the week of Oct 3, TRU will have Buy 2 Get 1 free dvds.

Drensch: I saw a TRU ad today for next week that has that Buy 2 Get 1 deal, but only until Oct. 3. Aladdin releases Oct. 5, doesn't it?

I remember last year when TRU had a B2G1 sale (or a similar promotion) during the Lion King release week. I think the sale will last all week long.
