Creating a GRUNGE LITE CD compilation - need help
So far I've got only 11 songs:
1. Don't Follow by Alice in Chains
2. Plush by Stone Temple Pilots (unplugged)
3. Black by Pearl Jam
4. Polly by Nirvana
5. Landslide by Smashing Pumpkins
6. Pretty Penny by Stone Temple Pilots
7. Seasons by Chris Cornell
8. Would? by Alice in Chains (unplugged)
9. Drown by Smashing Pumpkins
10. Oceans by Pearl Jam
11. Dumb by Nirvana
I've gone through all my CD's, and I don't have anything else that is acoustic by Grunge artists. I obviously have to go shopping in order to complete this CD, but who should I pick up? It's too bad they haven't released an official Grunge Lite compilation of acoustic music by normally hard rockin' artists, so any suggestions would be great.
P.S.: I do have Unplugged in New York by Nirvana, but I've used that disc for my Nirvana's Greatest Hits CD and I don't want to get repetitive.

I'd recommend replacing the Pearl Jam songs with ones from their MTV Unplugged set. If not, I'd suggest Elderly Woman as a PJ song.
Also, I think that the "Jar of Flies" cd from Alice in Chains might have some of what you're looking for.

Candlebox - Far Behind
Silverchair - Shade
Days Of The New - (basically anything)
Screaming Trees - Sworn And Broken
Satchel - Suffering

You can download Pearl Jams Acoustic set from here:
http://www.giventofly.it/download/concerti.htm
or you could buy the new 2 disc Benaroya set from last October. It's only like 13 bucks at best buy, and is excellent. Not quite as good as the MTV unplugged show, but they perform like 3 times as many songs.

Candlebox - Cover Me (there is a killer acoustic version floating around)
Blind Melon - No Rain
Alice in Chains - Rotten Apple, Sea of Sorrow,
Eddie Vedder - You've got to hide your love away from the I am Sam sdtk.
Mad Season - River of Deceit, anything off this brilliant album
Pearl Jam - Yellow Ledbetter, Better Man, Who you are

you may want to retitle that 90's alt rock, because Smashing Pumpkins were certainly never a "grunge" band.
That said, for a great SP acoustic set, track down the "Black Sessions" which was recorded in france (i think) in mid '93 for lot of great acoustic renditions of Siamese Dream and Gish songs.
Billy's Acoustic Demos( Acoustic Mellon Songs or something like that) for MCIS, Adore, and Machina are really good too.
