Is Spartan a good Blind Buy?

Being the first film by David Mamet that i've seen. I really loved it. The dialouge was clever but not unnatural like say CSI or some shit like that. The action was intense and quick and perhaps best of all, it wasn't predictable.

For those talking about Mamet's dialogue style, I'd say "Spartan" was Mamet-light, so to speak. Didn't seem to have as much as his flair as say "The Spanish Prisoner" or "Heist". Also,
like other Mamet films.
To get back to your question, yes, I'd say that Spartan is definitely a good blind buy for that price. I enjoyed it a lot.

Easily one of the most underrated movies of the past year. And I would argue that it does have some replay value if you are a person who likes to go back and find the clues that you missed the first time.
Definitely pick it up if you like politcal/espionage thrillers!
