Widescreen Anamorphic live concert dvd´s
Hello
I want to buy some musical dvd´s with great picture quality to my new plasma but I´ve noticed that most live concert dvd´s are 4:3 fullscreen .
So ...
I need your help and the experts recommendations in the following matter:
Which are the best live concerts dvd´s whose image, and this detail is very important, is Widescreen Anamorphic?
thanks in advance

Not sure if it's anamorphic, but the Alison Krauss + Union Station LIVE DVD is exceptional:
* Filmed in High Def
* DD & DTS 5.1
* 1.78 Aspect Ratio/Enhanced for 16:9 TVs
and perhaps the best part of all:
THE MUSIC!

Ok, so I wonder how many people are going to open this thread thinking that it's a request for movie musical recommendations. That's what I did.

The Who: The Kids are Alright. The restoration job they did on this classic film is beyond belief, esspecially if you ever saw the older versions.

Cranberries: Beneath The Skin: Live In Paris
(re-mastered version)
Anamorphic widescreen plus DTS. Great disc: sound is very immersive.

WE WILL ROCK YOU - QUEEN (THX DTS version)
No not the silly musical doing teh rounds in Vegas at the moment, the 1981 concert in Montreal, Canada....The one with the cardboard cut-outs in the audience!

The Cure's "Trilogy" IS widescreen anamorphic.
Check out the Jools Holland "Later" series of DVDs. If you're not familiar, "Later" is a live music show from the UK. Each DVD has about 30 performances from 1993 to 2003.
I have "Live Louder" and "Cool Brittania" and can't rave about 'em enough. I'll be picking up "10 Years Later" next. There's also "Later Legends," which doesn't appeal to me. Hopefully there'll be more soon.
I just recently got a widescreen set, so I was very glad to see they're all widescreen anamorphic. The picture quality -- especially of the performances shot in the last few years -- is exquisite.
(Dunno what kinda music you're into, so I suggest you look 'em up on Amazon or something to see if they're your cuppa tea. If you're like me, you'll end up "discovering" a band you're not familiar with, or being pleasantly surprised by one you didn't think you liked)

Check my profiler. I'm LOADED with concerts. Most of them kick some @$$ as well. I would be missing out on some of the very best concerts if I painted myself into a widescreen corner. If the OAR is 4:3, then that's OK by me. All the below are WS.
Blue Man Group - Complex Rock Tour
Coldplay Live
The Corrs - Live in London
Cranberries - Beneath the skin V2
Depeche Mode - Live in Paris
Diana Krall - Live in Paris (so damn reference)
Elton John - One night only
Godsmack Live
Korn - Live at Hammerstein NYC
The Last Waltz SE
Pearl Jam - Live at the Garden
REM - Perfect Square
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Live at Slane Castle
Roger Waters - In the Flesh
Sade - Lovers Live
Sting - All this time
Talking Heads - Stop making sense

Roger Waters - In the Flesh
Diana Krall - Live in Paris
Peter Gabriel, Growing Up
Godsmack has a good video transfer but the sound is a little suspect.
You did not specify musical taste.

My favorite widescreen enhanced:
Siouxsie and the Banshees---Seven Year Itch
New Order--511
Sade---Lovers Live
The Cure---Trilogy
...and the best of all....
Brian Setzer Orchestra---Live in Japan. Absolutely amazing picture, sound, and most of all, performance.
