Midnight openings for SW Trilogy

I know that some Best Buys will be open at midnight with special giveaways and so on.

Will any other stores be opening at midnight?
Does WalMart (open 24hrs) usually put out their popular titles at midnight?

http://www.starwars.com/community/ne...s20040907.html

The Best Buy that will be open at that time is about an hour drive for me, but Wal-mart is about a mile away.

Yes, I am an uber-nerd.

My local Walmart doesn't put out the titles until ~ 7 AM unless you go and ask one of the stock guys to get a copy for you. And even then, you're paying the default price listed in their registers until the pricing guy comes in and changes the prices in the morning

That sucks....I might just make the drive and pick it up at Best Buy at midnight or just wait until lunchtime and go during work.

Saw a sign on the door of a local Media Play saying that they would be open at midnight and start selling the Star Wars Trilogy at 12:01.

When Episode 2 came out, a buddy and I went to a Wal-mart. We hung out in front of the electronics department with about 20 other people. At 12:01, an employee pulled out that giant cardboard display that they put in front of the store. I wouldn't be surprised if all the 24 hr. Wal-marts did the same.

I am really surprised there are no Northern California Best Buy's open at midnight, seeing as how Skywalker Ranch is in Marin County (15 miles or so north of the Golden Gate Bridge).

Seeing how this is the BIGGEST DVD RELEASE since the format was invented, stores, especially the big chains, would be nuts not to take advantage of all the free PR they would get in the local press.
Maybe it is still a little early, this weekend I bet they pull all the stops.

Dude, where do you live in "Dallas", where a Wal-Mart is nearby, but Plano is an hour away?

Don't forget, traffic at night will be light, unless it rains.

Anybody know of midnight openings in Northern/Central NJ?

Any mom and pop shops in NJ that are selling it now? I have family coming over on Saturday and would love to have it for Saturday. I know this can't be posted here, but a private message would be appreciated.

I'd go to the LA one but I can only imagine the crowd. I mean come on, Star Wars fans are hardcore when it comes to waiting in line. I can wait until the afternoon or so

Im in Fort Worth actually, over by North Richland Hills. There is a Wal-Mart literally within a mile or 2 of my house.

It would probably only take me about 45 minutes to get to Plano actually. My fiance wants us to go at midnight and get it. She isn't a big Star Wars fan, but knows that I am.

I stood in line for star wars episode 1 tickets at 5am at Grapevine Mills mall. It was a really cool experience. I can honestly say though that I am no where near the Star Wars nerd that came out that day!
