Mallrats Oop?!?! Wtf?

WHHHHYYYYY would K.Smith/Miramax allow this film to go out of print? Is a new edition coming out? Or am I just late to this Kevin Smith party? Admittedly, I was not a fan of his until fairly recently (hadn't seen any of his flix 'cept Dogma, which rules), and now that I am, I NEED THIS F*****G DVD!

Sorry, just hadda vent a little.

if you look around it's not too hard to find. another dvdtalk member mentioned if you check out Borders, they may have a copy since their prices are a little on the expensive side. also checked used shops, a friend of mine bought one used a couple weeks ago for 10.99

What would Kevin Smith and Miramax have to do with it anyway? It is a Universal film and they are the ones that decides whether or not it will stay in print.

Granted you would think Universal would want it available to tie in with the Clerks X release, but they are not always that smart about things.

They have MST3K the Movie sitting in their archives and refuse to release it themselves even though they have great stuff to add to the DVD for extras and the success Rhino has had with the TV series should be more than enough evidence that the DVD of the film would sell.

Universal lets a lot of their titles go out of print.
