I was hoping for Taz vs. Shane Douglas from their very first broadcast on TNN. That was a great match.
Also hoping for Rhyno vs RVD TV title match where Rhyno cut his great promo telling RVD what he'd do to him "I'll rape your face with my fist until Jesus Christ can't recognize you."

Sounds cool. I wonder if WWE is going to overdub the music with their own in-house recordings. Nothing sounded cooler than Rob Van Dam's run-in music, Pantera's "Walk."

But, of course, I do hope that I'm wrong.

I just found...
a CRAPLOAD of ECW dvds for $2.99 each at a local mall store going out of business and it appears that only about three matches on here are on the dvds, so all is right with the world. And it will make you realize how bad WWE uses the ECW guys. It's a shame there's not a retrospective of the RVD/Jerry Lynn matches, as they are VERY VERY good. Also, where's the Japanese buzzsaw? His stuff in ECW was WAY better than they way they use him in WWE.

I heard this DVD is already stirring up controversy in WWE because they're encouraging talent to bad mouth Paul Heyman during their interviews.
You won't see Mass Transit on this release. It was disgusting and RFVid owns the rights to that show...Feinstein has started selling that show again on his site.

From what I read there is a lot of WWe revisionist history on the DVD. Tod Gordon, Joey Styles and evem Paul E have not been consulted on the release. Just based on info from some of the wrestlers that are now in WWE.
I'm still looking forward to having these matches on DVD.
PS It would be great if they included the match where Mikey Whipwreck pinned Steve Austin.
also they should include some Rhyno matches especially when he piledrove Sandman's wife through a table so WWe fans can see how vicious he really is.

What a christmas present this will be (from me to me ) The R2 DVD is out in december.
I dont think 2 disc is enough 3 or 4 would be better.
It's a pretty strong line up of matches but theres alot of ECW history missing.. and i'd love some comments from guys who dont work for WWE.. but hey that's life.

Rob Feinstein was involved in a sting operation by Philadephia’s NBC 10 news station and Perverted-Justice.com while meeting an underage boy for sex. I seriously urge anyone who might be inclined to purchase anything from RF Video to consider this before giving your hard earned money to this degenerate.

Just because it's "old news" that doesn't make it any less true, and I seriously have to question who's the "idiot" when you would defend an obvious piece of filth like this. All I can do is hope to God that someday you have a child and he has a friend like Rob Feinstein.

I thought I remember hearing that when the Feinstein incident happened that he was fired (quit?) RFVideo and that he's no longer a part of it?
Haven't bought anything from them since I could find them out front at live ECW shows....not to mention I want DVD's now...no more VHS!

The trailer for this is up and I can hardly wait. Looks to be quality on the level of the Flair DVD, if only it was 3 discs:

Maybe we'll get a sequel, "the complete history of ECW" or something along those lines!
