Cowboy Bebop Sessions: Anything new?
I'm a recent anime fan and have purchased the first 3 sessions of Cowboy Bebop. I'm a bit worried that, because the dvds are so old, that they will be reissued sometime soon. Is there any truth to this, or am I safe with the existing DVDs?

If you like the show, yes you're safe with the existing DVDs. Besides, how many times would you actually watch any special features if there were a reissue?
Best blind buy I've ever made. I say go for it!

If there is a re-issue then I will think that it wouold be in a brick like most other bandai shows now a days. as for extras... You aren't getting much else. Anime doesn't usually offer any sort of extras anyways.

There's a Japanese R2 re-release coming out in December for Cowboy Bebop with all the episodes getting a 5.1 Japanese track. There hasn't been any confirmation if the video will get remastered though. With this being Bandai's most popular series expect it to come out in the next year or two.

I expect that Ollin's prediction is probably accurate. I too expect Bandai to re-release an R1 Cowboy Bebop with 5.1 Japanese audio within the next couple years and prior to releasing a brick.

while i would like a 5.1 track (hell, from what i hear, the dts track on the best of is really good), i've already payed 100 for all 6 dvds, 20 for the movie, and 35 bucks for the box from Paul Champaign, so, i'm happy with the current set.

yeah, I never got the appeal of the paul champaign boxes. seemed overrated to me. Then again, the hype that the limited edition box set goes for is also something I never figured out.

I also have the PC box for Cowboy Bebop. I didn't purchase the LE box set when I had the chance.
Here's a link to the R2 Cowboy Bebop 5.1 Remix Box set at Amazon Japan. I already pre-ordered mine.
