Time for a new DVD player - opinions?
Looks like my Panasonic RP91 wants to die soon. I have read most of the recent topics but would appreciate a few users narrowing down their favorite moderately priced units. (not the costliest, nor the cheapest, just what works best)
I use my DVD player with a Samsung plasma, and a harmon karmon avr-325 sound system.
Would appreciate opinions & recommendations on both recording and non-recording dvd players.

Could not find a Toshiba SD4900 (or even most of those recommended here and on cnet) so I ended up buing a Pioneer DV-578A -s for $149 at a B&M.
Appears to be a great machine. Plays many types of discs, has excellent picture and sound quality.
Hoping it goes down in price in the next 30 days so I can get a few bucks back but it looks to be a good choice for what it is.
