Mits 313 and 315 Models
Are there any dramatic differences between last years 313 model and the new 315 models for the Mitsubishi line?
I have been looking at the 55315 which retails for $1899 for the 55" model and the 65315 which is $2299 for 65".
I just noticed on Best Buy's website that they have the 65313 for $1999. I can't see where there is that much difference, so if I am only talking $100, then I will move up to the 65".

Since the 315s haven't shipped yet there is no real feedback on them. Earley word was that on the larger models the 315 would upconvert all signals to 1080i but the jury's still out. Other than that they're about the same. I'd go for the 65313 and save the money towards a pro calibration.

I have the 55315. Great set! But, as far as I can tell, it does not upconvert to 1080i. I am feeding it 1080i from my Motorola digital cable box and 480p from my DVD player. Go for the 65 313 I say. Enjoy!
edit to add: make sure you check out the stretch formats on the 313, if you watch a lot of 4:3 material. The "stretch plus" mode (which crops a tiny bit off the top and bottom and stretches at the edges) looks fantastic, even with crummy 4:3 broadcasts. As long as the 313 has a stretch mode that you like, go for it!

No Bob the 55315 doesn't upconvert as that's considered their entry level now. When I said larger models I meant the 65" and bigger as well as the higher end models like the 65615.

About the same assuming my estimation of the depth for the Mits is correct it measures about 9' to the couch.
A friend of mine has the 55" in the same apartment complex and it looks sort of small compared to the 65" one of my other friends has, but I am not sure it is worth the extra $600 assuming I can't get the 65313 model.
