I've also read about two other gaming headsets from plantronics. Maybe a wireless one? ( GameCom X20 and
GameCom X10; no pics of these two yet. )

The price they have mentioned for this is nuts. I don't want a headset that costs as much as Halo 2. I'm sure it's some fancy hardware in there but in the end it's really only a headset. I want one but I'll stick with what I have and see if the price comes down.

cute marketing but I really don't see how this one will be better than any other headset while playing HALO 2.
Unless of course it gives you a shock if you get hit.
Plus why not make it silver instead of green?

since my headset is broken, i might as well pick this one up. right now, i'm using eletrical tape to hold the earpiece to the headset.
although... it looks like an in-ear bud type... i don't typically prefer those.

That is one insane price tag. I was going to get it....but I'll wait. It does look awesome and comfortable....but still...it costs more than the game DUH!

Ok, today at Gamestop I saw the Plantronics Earbud for XBOX. It was $29. Isn't this the same one Trigger bought?

Ok....I'm a consumer whore. I broke down and bought the Halo 2 headset today. When I traded in a ton of stuff a few weeks ago I preordered all the games I want for the XBOX until February. With 160.00 or so left I walked in today and picked up Links, since it wouldn't work with my old XBOX due to it's lame fucking drive, and the headset. On the way home I plugged it into my cell phone and made some calls. This thing is very comfortable and I can't wait to wear it for my Halo 2 gaming marathons. It should do very very well.

Okay, so has anyone else bought this? I broke down and picked it up last night since the Xbox Live headset gives me a headache after an hour or so. What do you guys think of this one. So far, it's much more comfortable, but it seems quieter. I had a hard time hearing people last night. Thoughts?

I got one, used it a bit, then went back to the third-party one I use that has a large soft earpiece that fits over your ear instead of going in it. The Halo one started to ache after a bit.

I don't have that one, but I do have the other Plantonics XBox headset. It was a bit pricy, compared to the cheap madcatz one I was using before. But it was an xmas gift and it tons more comfortable and better sounding.
