Six Feet Under 8/22/04

Nate gives Maya "one last look" at a memorial for Lisa, where some surprise discoveries ensue. David and Keith are inspired by a same-sex wedding; George agrees to Ruth's marriage stipulations; Federico is disturbed by the "new and improved" Vanessa; Brenda crosses a bridge with her therapy client; and Claire and Billy develop something in the darkroom.

Brenda getting punked by Byron was pretty funny.

As soon as you saw how Nate disposed of Lisa's body in the recap, you knew he was going to get in trouble by using the older cremated ashed. Barb couldn't have been happy to bump into Nate and Brenda at the diner before they flew back to LA.

David turning into Mike Tyson, though you know he's still on edge from his night from hell, it can't look good for him fiscally based on the previews.

George and Ruth are such a strange couple. It's nice to see how Ruth loves George, in spite of his OCD with saving the world's resources.

Rico is in no man's land.

Claire is just drifting, but Billy may change some of that.

Looks like we got the ball rolling on ending out the season. It will be interesting to see where these story arcs go.

Question:

"Two more episodes left"

Does that mean two whole episodes left, or two more until the finale (a third episode).

Have they officially announced another season of the show?

The episode was number 10 for the season so I would guess 3 more total.

No, there are only two more episodes left, due to only being 12 episodes this season.

I, for one, thought that Lisa's sister was going to do something with Mia (sp?) when she and her husband took care of the kids while David went back to the hotel. Remember, she yelled at David several ep's back for predicting his future by going to see a a psychic and she just seems a little off in general. Also, what an awkward scene at the restaurant towards the end. I was cringing for David and Brenda.

And I wouldn't be surprised if after next Sunday (Aug 29) it skips a week because of the Labor Day holiday weekend, meaning the season finale would be on Sept 12.

I figured we would eventually get back to Lisa's remains, and now it looks like the sh*t will hit the fan.

Nate burying a body in the middle of nowhere (improperly to boot) has to be a serious offense that calls for some jail time. And since Fisher & Son's handled the funeral - the business willl probably be in jeopardy.

With Lisa's burial and Nate being "caught" with Brenda, I guess Lisa's family will be mighty pissed and will attempt to gain custody of Maya.

I figure the season will end with the Fishers losing control of Fisher & Sons.

You know, with the Lisa thing, I'm wondering if it's going to be a situation that legally is impossible to prove. It's not like he has to tell them where the body is, and i'm pretty sure it's impossible to recover dna from cremains. So it'll just be one opinion vs another that will definatlely sour the family relations, but I bet he doesn't get in legal trouble.

Wrong brother you're talking about here...you want to insert Nate for David...heh.

Nate was super stupid for going into a coffeehouse when he was so careful about the family not seeing Brenda the rest of the time he was in Idaho.

Nate can feign incompetence about Lisa and her remains. I would guess if the family really wanted to see it through they might be able to pull some DNA off of the bones (if there is still any there).

Nate is such an idiot though. I know this show loves to suck the main characters into bad situations, but come on!

Man.. Nate is SO screwed. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I thought Vanessa was getting herself together for Rico...especially when she asked him over. And why is he giving up his key...it's his house too. He should stay and she leave if she can't handle what he has done.

He'll make it out, he always does. He's been through the ringer several times before only to come out being on the good side of things until something else comes along.
