B5 movies loose disks and surround?

Is it just me or is the surround sound on the B5 movies kind of weak? Granted I'm just now getting into them but so far the majority of the sound is out of the front/center speaker. Also, as per usual for the B5 sets two of the DVDs were lose/got scratched in shipping.

Yeah, the 5.1 tracks on the B5 sets aren't much to write home about. However, during the battle scenes, the speakers come alive to some degree. the .LFE channel gets a work out during big battle expolosions.

As far as loose discs, the first season set was extremely bad with that. However, the following sets weren't bad at all, in fact, most of mine have been fairly tight on the hub, especially the movie set.

The B5 movie set was the first B5 box set I received that did not have loose discs. Haven't heard the surround sound yet.

Disc 1 was loose on my set.

Not surprising the 5.1 isn't that great, neither are any of the Trek sets.

F***ING FLOATERS!!!

I haven't had a problem with the Babylon 5 box sets and loose discs since Season 1, but my movie set came with a loose copy of In The Beginning. Fortunately it wasn't badly scratched, and it only had 4 or 5 light nicks on it - and it plays perfectly.

Buffy Season 4 came with locking clasps instead of the usual spindles, and they work great. I don't know why those aren't the standard for box sets like this since the studios have to eat the sets with floaters and the locking clasps can't cost any more than the usual spindles.
