Friends Season 8?

I'm sorry if this has been covered before, I did a quick search but coulnd't really find anything...

I was just wondering what is up with the 8th, 9th, and 10th season box sets of "Friends." Ever since March of 2003 they have been pushing the box sets out like every 10 weeks, but then April came so did season 7, but here it is August and season 8 hasn't even been announced....

Does anyone know why this is, because its got me pretty confused? Thanks.

Season 8 isn't due out until November.

Its probably because the show is over so they don't feel the need to rush out the last 3 seasons, especially since its doing so well in syndication. Hopefully we'll have all 10 by the end of 2005.

Yeah, I'm kind of ticked that they've slowed down releases... I want my friends dangit!!!!! although, as long as we get them all eventually, I'm happy.

Yeah I was wondering about this myself. November isn't too far away, so it's not that bad.

Exactly. I kind of figured they would slow them down once the series ended. Thy speed in releasing them was, of course, to add to the hype of the final season on tv, so this was to be expected.

No doubt, of course, that they will complete the series in the not too distant future. I agree with the above poster that the DVDs will prbably complete by Christmas of 2005.

I have no beef with Friends releases...they have been very steady! I just wish the Simpsons Season sets would pick up!!!!!!!! I know that Matt Groening wants to do commentaries, but one a year is just terrible! I just wish they could AT LEAST push out 2 per year.

Maybe they want to slow down so they can plan more special features for the final 3 sets.

Thanks for the info. I've been wondering about the season 8 release date. I wish WB would have kept the speed of releasing the sets fast.

Let's hope Fox doesn't feel the same way about The Simpsons!

I'm okay on Friends. I still haven't picked up Season 7 yet. As long as they release the last season of Friends before the last season of The Simpsons, I'll be a happy camper.

I'm not fussed by the delay.

I've got the first seven seasons, but am barely through Season 1, so the longer between releases the better.

Doubt i'll be through all seven seasons that i have by Christmas anyway.

Well I guess I have to much time on my hands I have already watched seasons 1-7 and all special features twice working on my third time

I heard that the delay for season 8 was because they released that single disc of the final episode.
