Why I love the Ashlee Simpson show.
Because she is suppose to be the next superstar (according to MTV) and she can't sing for shit! So every episode she is having trouble getting her songs right and being able to sing in key. But no one has told her yet that she can't sing. Oh man, it's hilarious. It's also funny that I don't think she knows the only reason she has a show on MTV and has a record deal is because of her sister. For some reason I don't think she's smart enough to figure it out. Its so rediculous it's great.

It's still funny to watch her pretend to be the darker, hipper,
edgier, more punk rockin' Simpson sister.
It still can't touch Jessica's show which is clearly one of the top comedies on tv.
I've never seen idiocy embraced so warmly as it is on Newlyweds.

Ok, seriously, I've watched 7th Heaven a number of times (Jessica Biel 
) but have never seen Ashlee Simpson on the show before. WTF?

Oh, and on SevHeav she plays Simon's girlfriend/random hanger-on (once SImon leaves). It's a very "funny" and useless role portrayed by a very "funny" and bobble-headed actress.

LOS ANGELES (Billboard) - Ashlee Simpson (news)'s debut album is in line to replace Jimmy Buffett (news) atop the U.S. pop albums chart when sales data are issued Wednesday.
Based on first-day numbers from retailers, 19-year-old Simpson's "Autobiography" (Geffen Records) will reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with sizzling sales of 320,000-350,000 copies for the week ended July 25.
That will not only beat the new Van Halen hits set, predicted to start at about 150,000, but also the best numbers of Ashlee's older sister, Jessica Simpson (news). The latter's career peaks came earlier this year when a special edition of "In This Skin" sold 159,500 copies in its first week, good for No. 2.
Buffett's "License to Chill," meanwhile, opened at No. 1 last week with sales of 238,500 copies.

I agree with everything in this thread, especially the dads hair 
. I'm sure she'll move a good number of units. I gotta confess that after the matrix & technicians got ahold of her first single and put it through uber production I didn't think she sounded that bad. I then watched an ep where she was practicing with her band and I saw the light. All screaching, all the time. I think the funniest thing I've noticed after watching about 3 eps is that she is one of the most pretentious people on TV. Trying to claim she's punk? C'mon. Edgy? again c'mon. But it is a fun show to laugh at.

I wonder if she realizes the show makes her look even more like a whiny, spoiled brat who can't sing. Its amazing how much the "NASA Magic" makes her sound better. Hearing her live is torture.

It seems like everytime I accidently stumble upon this show she is always strugling trying to sing? Its like jaming a pitchfork into your ear. I didnt think anyone could outdo Kelly Osbourne for the ultimate of suck, but we may have a new champ!!
