Instant CDs

Not sure if many bands are doing this yet, but I went to a KISS concert last weekend and they had "Instant CDs" you could buy and pickup of the concert on your way out. (Sadly it didn't include all of the bands, but anyway....)

I was reading up on it a bit, and not sure if it's supposed to be a money maker for the bands or to help stop bootlegging, like they were advertising. Seems like it promotes bootlegging more than ever to me (some of them are going for pretty good money on eBay, and they are just copies.)

I am actually very impressed at the quality though.

Just curious what others think of these things.

I haven't seen those yet, but is sounds like a great idea. Gatordeb would be all over that.

Heard one from the KISS show in Pittsburgh. Very good quality. Wish they had had these years ago. How much do they sell at the show for?

These were 25 bucks for 2 discs. I thought it was a bit expensive, but it does sound good.

Saw some of the non-copies on eBay have gone for between 50 and 90 dollars

Some are claiming these are not copyrighted either, claiming it's legal to copy and sell. I don't know the full scoop on that, though.

I would go to more concerts if more artists did this. Awesome idea.

I got mine at the Kiss show at Darien Lake. This is the best idea ever. If everyone did it I'd get them too (unless they sucked)
