It's not gambling. It's a game for charity.
I forget what show it was, but I saw him interviewed recently where he talked about the show and joked that he promised the producers that he wouldn't cheat.

I've never watched the show before but I am going to watch tonight b/c Penn is on & he is my idol.
But isn't this show called "CELEBRITY" poker? I never heard of one other person on the show. Is it always this bad?

Penn is bringing it already!
Angie's got some pretty wrinkled hands... Her table cam is going to be a bit distracting tonight...
Wait a minute, who let Martha Stewart into the game?
Penn was cracking on Jeff Gordon. This is hilarious stuff!

Hahahaaha! Kathy Griffith just re-raised Penn $1500 (after Penn bet $1500 and called him an A-hole - Cingular pulled its advertising just in time, I guess...). Then Penn re-raised once again... Love the bullying... And she called the bet!
On the turn, a face card, Penn checks and Griffith goes all in! Penn has to fold after so many high cards show up with Penn holding pocket 8's while she had A-Q. She pushed Penn around and crippled him, he's lost over half his initial stack already.
This is really fun!

Oh damn, can you imagine an entire "Office Space" table? That'd rule. Bring in Samir, Michael Bolton (no, not that Michael Bolton) and Dietrich Bader (the neighbor) along with Livingston and cole.

Haha! Phil Gordon getting all bent out of shape when Gordon doesn't call with only $600 to him, with a whole lot in the pot. But then he calls a $3600 bet in the next hand and delivers a suckout to Angie at the river to win this table.

Skippy.
I don't think Police Woman knows any other word besides 'call.'
I wonder if Cingular Wireless will come back after Dave Foley's teen masturbation comment.

Kathy Griffith made sure Jeff Gordon knew that Phil Gordon (are they related? ) called him an idiot for not calling another $600 for a pot of over $10,000. Sure, he was a dog with his cards, but he was pretty much pot-committed, but Jeff wussed out and folded as Angie went all-in.

And #24 gets the checker flag! You know, looking at the clock took all the excitement outta the game. It's like 3 minutes left in the show and Jeff needs 10 for the river to get a triple, and of course, he gets it.

That's what I notice about these poker shows since I have started watching. You can tell the winner by the time left on the clock. I can't not look at the clock because it shows up when I fast forward through Tivo. Still I'm enjoying watching poker more than I thought I would.

I couldn't believe how Kathy muscled Penn around on that one pot with nothing. Very impressive.
Was this the first week with the laugh track, because it was absolutely terrible! I don't mind them feeding in the studio laughter, but there was obvious canned laughter during Phil and Dave's banter, and it was very annoying.
