just wanted to know if its against forum rules to post a Catwoman WIP.... its my first cover and need some feedback on my work so far.

You mean you want to the the first to create a cover that the bootleggers can use? A cover for a movie that hasn't even been released yet serves no purpose, other that for bootleggers to sell on eBay and the street corners.

No, he means that he'd like to try to make a cover for an upcoming film, and he'd like to get opinions from others who have made covers. And he was nice enough to ask if it was allowed on the forum so as not to get him or the forum in trouble.



Anyway, while there might be no harm in trying to get some opinions about your cover, the film hasn't been released yet.

Write to a moderator and ask to see if it's okay. It's the best way to be sure.

Forum Troll, I do share your concerns about bootleggers using custom covers, however, that particular horse has already bolted as far as Catwoman is concerned. I have seen 5 differant customs for this film, of varying degrees of quality, in the time it has taken me to get mine to its current (far from finished) state. Not that bootleggers wouldn't use mine, even in its unfinished state, if its the only one they could get.

As GaryEA kindly pointed out (thanks bud), im just taking my first tentative steps into cover design and I admit knowing nothing about it! All I ask is that others that do know give me their opinions and suggestions on how my work should(nt) proceed.

I probably should have picked a title that was already released as my first attempt, I just liked the idea of doing a cover for Catwoman I guess.

anyway, I hope I haven't caused offence with anything I've said, just trying to be honest. I guess it must be against forum rules to post WIP for unreleased movies, so I withdraw my request to post it
