Are the World Poker Tour Season 1 DVDs worth the money?

Was watching it today on the Travel Channel and it looks like it might be worth it. How many episodes are there and how long are they? Thanks

I haven't seen them, but my general feeling is...

With how much poker is on TV nowadays, I don't see how it would be worth it. You can watch tons of new episodes for free rather than episodes you've already seen.

one drawback for me is that our cable doesn't provide the travel channel... I only get to see it at work :P I kinda hate having to wait for the WSOP to come on to watch it.

I agree with you, Atari.... It's $99, but even still, I'd rather spend the money on something else--it just isn't that rewatchable.

OT for Shana Hiatt

IMO, i'd rather try something like this to practice b4 playing w/humans, or check out Shana Hiatt in her latest spread.

I owned it, and enjoyed it a lot, but threw it on Ebay after I was finished with it. It's basically the first 13 episodes, and then the final championship, and a couple hour long featurettes, including one that's basically a summary of the other episodes. It's not bad, but not probably something you'll watch more than once or twice...
