Wow... the surgery scenes involving Christian really had me squirming.
Too bad Matt didn't say "yes" so we could get that plotline over a bit sooner.

The surgeries just keep getting more and more brutal. I was tensing up anytime Sean picked up a knife just because I was waiting for that slip. I cannot imagine how awful that condition must be for a surgeon.

Very good episode. The characters just keep getting deeper and deeper. I guess I'm ready for the Matt hit and run storyline to end too. I'm still waiting to hear about Matt's paternity.

Well that was certainly a unique way to break one's nose. Damn that chick was smokin' hot - what an a$$!

Another great episode.

First time I'd seen this show, decided to check it out after all the praise it gets on here, as well as all the ads on the radio. Seemed pretty good, though it hasn't convinced me that its the best shsow on TV. I'll watch a few more before deciding. Definitely some moments that really made me cringe... I assume most episodes aren't as bad in that respect?

The woman playing the other plastic surgeon... is she a regular?

I guess they dropped Dr. Santiago without any explination - too bad, she was more than a little hot. At least we get Famke starting next episode.

What was up with Christian saying that he's never had something bad happen to his face? - did he forget all those bottox shots to the face the drug dealer gave him last season?

I had no idea the wife was Vanessa Redgrave's daughter in real life - crazy!

I hate to be the first one to say this, but I've been pretty disappointed by the first two episodes. They don't seem to draw me in like the first season eps. I'm not really sure what it is, but it's gone down a notch so far this year. Still good TV, but not up to S1 standards.

i totally agree with you, still decent but not as good as last season, being in the field i can tell you that no doctor would perform a rhinoplasty without general anesthesia, that was way over the top, but still better than any other show on tv right now

Haha, IIRC, they were to the groin.

I finally watched this episode, and it's just so compelling to watch.

So did Vanessa Redgrave really have a facelift, or was that also a makeup job?

Matt continues to look like Michael Jackson in some ways.

There were botox shots to the face. I think he meant any permanent disfiguring. Isn't botox temporary?

He took several to the face in the pilot, and a final shot to the groin. At the end of the show he joked that he looked like Kirk Douglas.

I'm not sure you'll be able to tune into one episode or even a handful of episodes and claim it is or isn't the best show on TV. Like any good character-driven drama, you have to get to know the characters before you can truly appreciate the show's merits.

I agree. I tried to tune in to the end of season one a few weeks ago and found I didn't care about the characters or their stories. But. . . since so many people here recommend the show, I put it in my Netflix queue. I stayed up till three last night watching "just one more episode." It wasn't the show that wasn't engaging before, it was me not knowing about the characters and their backgrounds. I'm guessing I'll be caught up in a week--this show is addictive. I'm glad I didn't erase my Tivo season pass since I have the first two episodes of season 2 taped.

Oh yeah, I mean don't get me wrong I enjoyed it and I'll be watching it more often. It's just that certain shows have grabbed me from the get-go, and while N/T didn't, its a show I can see myself watching regularly.

I kind of got out of the loop of watching TV with any sort of regularity while I was in college, so now that I'm done I can reacquaint myself with television's warm glowing warming glow.

I finally watched this one.

Where is the McNamara's daughter? She's like Emma from FRIENDS. It's just stupid.

I wish they would kill Matt off - that kid gives me the creeps. I agree w/ Patman, he reminds me off Michael Jackson. I was hoping that he would admit to the hit/run and have to go to jail for the rest of the series.

They do a great job of picking out Christian's women.

Though I do miss Dr. Santiago.
