Holy shit. So... is anything going to get done in that town during that period of time?

Is the nation in immediate danger of a beer shortage?

Nope...they have plenty of beer ....

The great thing is that it costs (I think) $10 to get in. It is on Lake Michigan and the area is built for this festival and keeps the idiots out with the cover charge.

You can see any band you want for the admission price (except for the main stage-Marcus Amph.) and there are bands all day on about 10 stages...the headliners are the only ones listed above.

Insane that Chicago is right down the road and they cannot get close to this type of entertainment at the Taste Of Chicago. Actually it is pretty sad.

Damn, I just saw Ben Folds last night and he will be playing tomorrow night - and I will only be a couple of hours away. I should just drive the rest of the way up and crash at my cousin's house.

Flashback - you're right, that cover charge is a hell of a deal for all of the stuff that is available. I haven't been to Summerfest in years - I'm tempted to go.

I'm going tonight to see Prince, but other than that I probably won't be back. There just isn't a lot in the line-up this year that interests me. Actually I probably will go one more day, but I'm still disappointed. In previous years there have been several days on which I really wanted to see three of the artists performing. This year there are a few days on which there's someone playing I'm slightly interested in seeing. It seems like they've cut way back on independent bands in the past few years.

Instead of bolding, I'll recap: I'm complaining about it, but still going.

Well, I am going to see Cheap Trick (one of my favorite bands that I can see all the time)...but I can see a lot of bands that I would go listen to...and that is just the headliners. Pretty well rounded from Country to Hard Rock, new and old...
