Question regarding Standalone DVR and Standalone DVD recorder
For anyone the owns a standalone DVD recorder and Standalone DVR (Dish, Directv, TIVO, Replay) Can you please answer this question?
If you record a program on a standalone DVR unit, and then decide to transfer it to DVD with the recordable standalone.
Can you FFWD up to 300x the speed on the DVR, and have it transfered normally when you play it back on the DVD? or will this only work if you have a unit like Panasonics all in one DVD recorder/DVR HDD unit?
Thnx

NO. Both units record what they capture. If done via the method you suggest, you'd only be recording the footage as shown in FFWD.
Any HDD based DVDR has a high speed dubbing option because the footage has already been encoded and sits on its HDD.
