Do you like the current SNL cast?

I actually can't wait for the show to come on the air again which might sound crazy.

Of course it will never match the cast with Carvey, Myers, Hartman, Sandler, Spade Nealon etc but the current cast is ten times more funnier than the cast in the mid 90's.

I could not stand the mid 90s cast with Anna Gastayer, Molly Shannon, Cheri Oteri and Chris Kattan.

They sucked and they never were funny.

Amy Poehler is probably the funniest person on the show next to Horatio Sanz.

Anna Gastayer and Molly Shannon doing the NPR spot.

The funniest being "Schwetty Weiners" with Alec Baldwin. Although Rachel Dratch

Who is the guy that did Prince? Oh and he was in Eurotrip as the weird Italian guy.

To me, he is the funniest thing. He always gets a laugh from me.

I don't much care for he current cast. The old cast of the early 90's (Myers, Carvey, Sandler, Farley, etc...) were hilarious without having to visibilly supress laughter during the skit.

This cast seems to laugh their way through the funnier skits and it gets annoying...like the joke is whether or not they're going to be able to keep from laughing

I find the current cast okay, but hopefully they can add another person that really works next season. But as a sidenote, I remember people saying the show wasn't very good even back when Sandler, Hartman, Farley, Myers, and so forth were in their heyday. Of course you can't please everyone, but sometimes I think people look more favorably as the years pass.

Its like you read my mind!

They should just bring in the whole cast of the Upright Citizens Brigade. I loved that show.

jeffkjoe: I think that Finesse has potential, whereas Keenan needs to be dropped.

Charlie Goose: I agree whole heartedly! "Fork you Drunk Girl!"

Despite what people say, I really have a fondness for the mid-nineties team of Cheri Oteri, Jim Breuer, Chris Kattan....

You could tell that they were really hungry, and you could really feel the Groundlings/Second City influence in their sketches.

A lot of current material nowadays feels very lazy and uninspired by comparison.

there was another skit where she was a japanese talk show host (w/fred armisen) and jennifer AHHHneestooon was their guest.

The absolute best period for SNL, IMO, is the early-to-mid 90's. Phil Hartman, Norm McDonald, Chris Farley, David Spade, Kevin Nealon, Mike Myers, Dana Carvey, Tim Meadows, etc. Truly all greats in SNL history that will take an awful lot to top.

I think I will like the current cast more now that Jimmy has left.

I like:
Maya Rudolph
Rachel Dratch
Amy Poehler
Fred Armisen
Tina Fey
Darrell Hammond
Seth Meyers
Keenan Thompson

The rest I can do without.

What? Horatio Sanz is funny! Don't diss the fat man.

No only is he not funny, Jimmy is a big freaking Sandler wannabe, period. So glad he got his ass kicked off the show. But who's doing weekend update w/ Tina now?

I like the current cast and I am really curious to see who will take over Jimmy Falon's place on Weekend Update. I think Seth Meyers would do a good job. Since Jimmy is gone, I guess he would be the "hearthrob" for the girls.

Are you saying every male cast member on SNL is ugly?
