Hi im looking to ditch my old 27 inch and get a widescreen TV,plasma and lcd are all too expensive and my apartment has too much light for a projection so im looking at a few tube tvs.All are the same price(2000.00 Canadian) and seem to be similar as far as features go.Im just looking for opinions if anyone has one of these or some useful info.Thanks

From my past experience with a couple JVC products (TV and VCR) I would reflexively say stay away from that brand. They're down there with RCA in my opinion.

I have the predecessor to the Toshiba, in question, the 34HF81. I've been very happy w/ it.

I liked the Toshiba from what ive seen, infact i liked it better than the 34 inch Sony which costs alot more.Didnt get to see the Panny today because its a new model and i was told it wont be out till the first week of next month.

I have an older 30" Samsung and am happy with that.

Any reason you left off the Sony? Every time I see that in the store it looks great. I thought it was priced about the as the others - around 1800?
