American Casino - 6/11

Anyone watching the Discovery channel's American Casino on Friday?

Spoiler:
Valentine's Day is the backdrop for a $40,000-slot tournament, and a favorite high roller is given a fantasy trip for two via helicopter to the Grand Canyon.

I missed the first episode, so I didn't know what to expect. I'm not a fan of reality TV, so I was pleased to see that this was presented more as a documentary than a reality series.

I really enjoyed it. I got a kick out of the
Spoiler:
waiter that accompanied the couple on the helicopter and nearly got airsick

I saw the last 15 minutes of the first episode. Does Discovery air encores of this?

Bump for those jumping off of Fox's The Casino bandwagon.

I've seen both eps. 1 & 2 of American Casino and thoroughly enjoyed both. If you're looking for something that really does go behind-the-scenes at a Vegas casino, then this is the show to watch.

Morf...I also LMAO at that scene in ep. 2! I also love their updated version of "Viva Las Vegas"...very cool.

Good stuff. The VP is a total *******. The casino hostess that he is always bitching out has a great body.

Plus I like the Cops-feel of the show when they deal with the rowdy people and drunks.

Yeah, this show is kind of fun.

I felt bad for the PR guy who is afraid that his new boss doesn't like him but whenever the guy feels some pressure he runs to the Whiskey Bar.

After his valentine's day slots tournament instead of going home to his wife & kid, he tells her he's got some things to wrap up and runs off to knock a few back.

The hotel VP & his hostess are funny too. What a wacky relationship for people in their positiions.

The kitchen fiascos & battles are fun too.

Security seems to have their act together though.
