My ps2 package is now on ebay now im looking to get a new xbox with money. I just dotn want the thomson drive samsung or phillips is fine. Does anyone know the best deal on a new xbox system? (excluding ebay) I found Target.com 149.99 - 10% off coupon any other good deals like that?

FYE/Wherehouse has a $30 MIR bringing the price down to $119.99, don't know when it expires though.

I got a Halo XBOX at Toys R US for $150. That was the price marked on it, so that's what I paid....of course, YMMV on that deal.

The HALO box usually has a Pgillips or Samsung drive in it...have not heard of one with a Thomson

yea i might get the halo if i can find cheaper, but id say thomson is most common xbox. Its the ones they first came out with which is when many people got xbox but now theres less thankfully, but theres till some out there. 120 sounds real good , i guess that best?

I read about this deal at another forum. It's only at Fry's (If you have one in your area) and is good from 06/11 to 06/15.

The games aren't all that good (okay, they all pretty much suck) but they, along with the extra controller, are all free.

The brick and mortar KBToys Outlet at the Prime Outlets mall in Grove City, PA has factory refurbished X-Boxes for $88.88 plus tax. The unit comes with one controller and standard cables for video hookup. The one I bought had a Phillips drive.

Other KB Outlets might also have them if you are close to any. I purchased one last month and have had no problems at all.

Nice i too live in Pa, bucks county. But im looking for a new version. I plan on getting it modded but i think im just gonna buy a pre-moded xbox for $250 if my auction ends at a good price.

the new version (1.6) can't be modded (yet)...so get the old one.. unless you want to wait.. (not that long i guess)

How can you tell if it's a newer version, where is 1.6 shown?

if the manufacture date is 4/4/2004 or later, it's version 1.6. my friend bought the halo xbox, and it manufacture date on his is 1/1/04, his version is 1.4-1.5; i got the halo xbox and mine manfacturer date is 4/04/04, and it's 1.6 version.

other clue is look for the old style box of the xbox, i think the upper left hand corner shown a S controller.

my final advice, b4 u buy the xbox, look at the manufacturer date on the back of it.
