Ok, I recently purchased a 2nd XBOX....the one gave me a FEW dirty disc errors, but still works fine most of the time....plus, I got the Halo SE XBOX for $150 (not $170....love them employees that don't care)

Anyways, I was wondering what kind of store credit or cash would EBgames or Gamestop give me?

I only want to trade in the XBOX, no controller....I also have all the necessarry hookups and possibly a manual sitting around somewhere.

Do you know how much they normally give for that....do they give you more if it's STORE CREDIT?

If store credit EB will give you $80, just say it works, even if it doesn't. 20% less in cash.

Its less now (being that Xbox dropped). I beleive they pay $65 or $70 store credit, and 20% less for cash.

I once heard an employee say that systems were bought back for half of what they sel for used in the store.

So, if they sell a used xbox for 129, you'd get about $65 in store credit. Cash you would get about $53 or so.

Wow, thanks....kinda sucks, $80 would be decent...I wonder what I could get on EBAY or Half.com for it....

GameStop gives $80 for an XBOX...stopped by today...but that is with a controller.

Well, it still plays fine 90% of the time. I'll disclose that in my auction as I'm honest about my auctions. It could just need a good cleaning.....I've seen NUMEROUS ones on EBAY.

I believe either EB or Gamestop though require a full "set" in order to trade in. Xbox, power cord, video cord, and controller all have to be there.

Yep, you are correct....at least at Gamestop, they said they wouldn't even take it back without a controller. Wish I could find a MS one cheap.
