Wow, I didn't expect for it to be released only 3 weeks from now.

Wow, for the first time in my life I like the Weinsteins.

But that feeling will soon change.

As long as the price of FH911 moves up a bit on the announcement I am fine with Mr. Moore.

Good news for him since he makes a few more million.

you have to read (if you haven't already) Down and Dirty Pictures : Miramax, Sundance, and the Rise of Independent Film by Peter Biskind, not only is Harvey perceived as the ******* of the Universe, but Robert Redford's isn't spared either, he comes across as arrogant self righteous prig as well.

Who is that cow in the picture provided with the link? He seems to have put on a few, well okay plenty of pounds since winning his Oscar.

There ya go.

--------------------------------

In all seriousness, no one - I mean no one can say this isn't one of the most anticipated films of the year even if they aren't going to see it.

I can't wait and of course I will wait until after I see it to express my views to anyone. Just like I did with that piece of drudge BFC.

Daaaaannnnnggggg! I wasn't expecting a release anywhere near that soon. I would've been surprised if they had managed to get it out in the fall.

Still, given that Disney said a year ago they wouldn't release it, I imagine the Weinsteins have had a contigency plan in place all along. This may all be even more carefully crafted than it appears (except for winning Cannes). Oh well, what do I care how it gets out, so long as it does.

Guess I'll have to go see Troy, Van Hellsing, Shrek 2, HP3, or Day after Tomorrow again that weekend.

How's that.

Because nobody defends Moore in those threads.

No thanks I'll pass I want nothing to do with that propagandist since he appeals to the hollywood crowd rather than middle america and he is notorious for twisting the truth to fit his own political ideology.

Odd, Bowling for Columbine was in theaters for months here in middle America.

I wouldn't exactly call playing in 248 theaters reaching "Middle America". And even that was only for one week. The average theater count throughout the life of its theatrical run was just 100 (source - boxofficemojo.com), and you can bet that many of those were not mainstream theaters.

I'm not saying it was in 1000s of theaters, just that it played for several months in two different theaters here in the liberal hotbed that is Des Moines, IA.

Middle America is not necessarily a place, it is demographic, generally intended to represent the average American, with average income and education, and typically living in small cities and towns.

And, while Des Moines may not be a liberal hotbed, it is a city with a metro population of about half a million people (not exactly my definition of a small city). It wouldn't surprise me in the least to find that some of those people would be liberal. And, it also wouldn't surprise me to find that a couple of the theaters in the area might even be owned or managed by people with a more liberal bent.

Well, this is great news. While Im glad this is getting the go ahead, I'll still wait and buy the DVD. Then again, it opens two days before my birthday, so I might go see it if I can find a theater playing it. The Liberals will win the battle for America.

I officially love this thread.

"Stupid conservatives. I can't wait to piss em off. I hate em and I hope they die! Well I better leave this thread before the anger begins."
