I love it. Hands go from a coin toss to “what a shame it is to lose this on the river.”

I get so sick of this whiney bulls**t. Any time, I’ve said this before, any time an all-in bet is called you’re gonna see all 5 cards.

Will someone please explain this to me?

Yup, I'm watching the replay of this episode, and I figured out it was the NBC pre-Super Bowl edition.

I railed about the time clock at that time too. It's a silly change to the game that doesn't need it. The game as-is doesn't need tweaking.

yeah, not sure why they have it. can't be for tv since they edit it and could cut out long waits of players thinking about what to do

Because Sexton thinks it’s great. And, you’ll notice that many of those 1 minute countdowns (for us) started at 45 seconds or less.

However, much as I hate to admit it, there’s an upside to this. If it sends the message to the n00b that taking forever to decide about calling a raise with 72o is not acceptable…

But they need to stop the thing when a player asks for the chip count.

Yeah, that was stupid. Give the guy a damn chip count. I don't mind the clock, although I don't see why we need it.

Anyway, I agree with Wizdar. If you go all-in pre-flop, there's no such thing as "the river." There's just 5 cards.

What a rip. Like Patman said, this was originally aired before the Super Bowl. Yet, they gave the original air date as 5/26. Boo!

I was wondering if I had seen this episode or not. I also checked the airdate and just assumed it was new and I was imagining things.
