The Big Lebowski needs a SE

Any chance? Any announcement?

Great movie, I'm sure there's tons of good stuff around to fill up a SE.

Hows the A/V quality on the current release? I've been wanting to pick it up for awhile since it's so cheap ($10).

The video and audio quality are decent on the current release ---- certainly worth the purchase.

Prolly not gonna happen....this has been discussed before I believe.

The $10 DVD out now is good overall, well worth the purchase.

it's my all-time favorite.. but i doubt it'll happen since the Coens aren't that big on the DVD format and special features.

there was a local re-release here in Sweden of it, and the new disc has DTS and a recipe for a White Russian in addition to the other extras that are on the US disc as well.

one of my favorite movies. being an american living in britain, with a large dvd collection, most of my friends love to come over and watch a good dvd from time to time. those with multi region dvd players borrow films sometimes. One of my friends thought she had a multi region dvd player, but wasn't sure. I brought over a movie (the big lebowski of course) to check. It worked on her machine, so i told her she did in fact have a multi region player. Well, i was wrong, my disc is region free! who would have guessed. Take a look at the back of your disc. I bet most of you don't know that it is region free

Even though it is one of my favorite films of all time, I think the current release is fine. Above average video transfer at the time, and the sound mix is pretty good (if not a bit front-heavy).

I would double-dip on this without thinking twice about it. And since we're all about quotes in this thread....

"I gonna f//k you in the a/s on Saturday... I'll f//k you in the a/s next Wednesday instead... YOU GOTTA DATE ON WEDNESDAY BABY!!! WOOOO!!!"

Totally, and if only to get a new case that doesn't misquote the movie.
