I've had it preordered for a long time. Buy.com has it for $48.58. I paid $44.30 shipped with the help of a coupon.
I didn't know all those details. Great games. I wish they had Game 7 of the 2000 Conference Final.
I thought the last part of the 1972 Game 5 Championship had been lost. Every time it was shown on ESPN Classic (called Classic Sports Network in those days) years ago it was missing. It would be great if they found a tape of the whole game.

i'll probably pick this up. i wish they'd replace the 2000, 2001 and 2002 games with 1989, 1990 and 1991. sure they lost but wacthing magic and the boys would be much more entertaining than the kobe/shaq show. those damn pistons made me cry in 89'

To get all those games in their entirety on the discs I wonder how the games are condensed. I figure they show no commercials but I wonder if they just splice all the timeouts and everything together. I figure they get the games down to around an hour each. I wish I could see what it looks like first to help me decide if I want to buy this.

Since the Lakers are pretty much guaranteed to win the NBA title this year they probably should have waited a bit longer to release this. I guess they will sell the 2004 disc separately.

According to some sites, the running time is listed as 22 hours and 18 minutes! Good god!
Where did you find the information that the 2004 AllStar Game and weekend is suppose to be on the discs?

Re: NBA Dynasty Series - Los Angeles Lakers - The Complete History
And whoever mentioned this season, they're right. The set will feel incomplete without the 2004 Conference Semifinals Game 5.

A CHICAGO BULLS SET?!?
YESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SCHWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(And they BETTER put on Game 6 of the 1997 NBA Finals - I had a feeling ALL SEASON that Steve Kerr was gonna sink a championship-winner, and he DID it! That is thus far the extent of any psychic powers I possess, however.)
CHICAGO BULLS!
