Frasier last season 9-21???
digital bits reported
Oh, but that's not all. Paramount has announced a number of additional TV releases as well. Touched by an Angel: Season 1, Survivor All Stars and I Love Lucy: Season 2 will all street on 8/31, with Keen Eddie: The Complete Series and Mork & Mindy: Season 1 following on 9/7. 7th Heaven: Season 1 and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation - Season 4 are expected on 9/14. Frasier: The Final Season is due on 9/21. Finally, The Andy Griffith Show: Season 1, Taxi: Season 1, The Jamie Kennedy Experiment: Season 2, Hogan's Heroes: Season 1 and CSI: Miami - Season 1 are all expected to arrive on 10/12. Whew!
So what about the seasons in between? I think it might just be the final episode, but if they were going to do that why not do it like Friends did where it came out the next Tues after the finale. I love the show and the more seasons they have on DVD the better, it just looked weird to me. I wish shows like Fraiser that don't do as many special features (ie commentaries and making ofs) would come out alot faster than twice a year. Anyway, just wanted to see if anyone else can confirm this.

I hope they are misinformed. I hate it when studios release TV shows out of sequence in their season sets. I will buy it if it is the last season, but I will wait for the remaining seasons before I watch it.

This seems to be the trend. The first I heard of this (aside from the Friends Finale LE), was Universal's announcement of S14 of L&O, followed by SVU S5 and CI S3 all on 9/7.
I don't mind it, so long as they still release the skipped seasons.

Considering that season 3 of Frasier is currently ranked #61 on Amazon.com's DVD sales chart, I'd be very surprised if they're planning on skipping seasons 4-10. Paramount probably just wants to cash in on the final season while it's still fresh in peoples' minds.

From TVShowsOnDVD.com:
I hope they release Season 4 in September instead, with Season 4 of Cheers.

In mid-May we reported that Frasier - The Final Season (Season 11) would arrive in-stores on Sept. 21st. Now we have word direct from the studio's highest levels that the release date is on-the-move.
The box set now seems to be targeted for the very end of the year, but no specific date has been decided on yet. November is the earliest you can expect to see this release, but they're still nailing things down.
Fans have been worried about the fact that Paramount is jumping down to the last season with this next set, after coming out with Seasons 1, 2, and 3 in order. The concern is that they are leaping to the end, and that the studio may have no intention of releasing seasons 4-10 onto DVD. Relax, that's not why Paramount is doing Season 11 next. The whole idea is to promote the release of the final season while on home video while the broadcasts are still fairly fresh on everyone's minds. So the delay grates on everyone's nerves, we assume, because the fans' memories of Season 11 get less fresh every day.
Still, worry not, because Dr. Frasier Crane is definitely coming to DVD, and we'll have the news about it just as soon as things get finalized. Stay tuned!

The most confusing thing about the bits post was this:
9/7 - Mork & Mindy: Season 1
9/14 - 7th Heaven: The Complete First Season, C.S.I.: The Complete Fourth Season
9/21 - Frasier: The Complete Eleventh Season
9/28 - Crank Yankers: Season 1 Uncensored, Strangers with Candy: The Complete Third Season
10/5 - Frasier: The Complete Final Season
I thought the final season was the eleventh season. They're one and the same.
9/7 - Mork & Mindy: Season 1
9/14 - 7th Heaven: The Complete First Season, C.S.I.: The Complete Fourth Season
9/21 - Frasier: The Complete Eleventh Season
9/28 - Crank Yankers: Season 1 Uncensored, Strangers with Candy: The Complete Third Season
10/5 - Frasier: The Complete Final Season

Here is official cover art for Fraiser. I always thought Moose the dog was on the spine but they have Fraiser on the spine. What is with that.

The cover art looks pretty good though. Lets hope for cast commentarys. Really though, with Fraiser on the spine it well look stupid lined up with the other three.

How does the purple stack up with the other seasons. I hope to get this when it comes out. Best Buy usually has the sale where you by one and get another ten dollars off. At least they did that with Friends. Also whats the word on extras.
